Epístola dos Apóstolos 25

1Novamente lhe dissemos: Senhor, já nos envergonhamos de te interrogar tantas vezes e de te sermos pesados. E ele respondeu e disse-nos: Bem sei que é com fé e de todo o vosso coração que me interrogais; por isso me alegro por causa de vós, pois em verdade vos digo: Eu me alegro, e meu Pai que está em mim, porque me perguntais; e a vossa insistência é para mim motivo de júbilo e para vós dá vida. E havendo ele nos dito isto, alegramo-nos de o haver interrogado, e dissemos-lhe: Senhor, em todas as coisas nos vivificas e tens misericórdia de nós. Queres agora declarar-nos aquilo que te havemos de perguntar? Então ele nos disse: É a carne que passa, ou é o espírito? Nós lhe dissemos: É a carne que passa. Disse-nos ele então: O que caiu há de ressurgir, e o que se perdeu há de ser achado, e o que era fraco há de sarar, para que nestas coisas que foram assim criadas seja manifesta a glória de meu Pai. Assim como ele fez comigo, assim farei com todos os que creem em mim.

1Again we said unto him: Lord, already are we ashamed that we question thee oft-times and burden thee. And he answered and said unto us: I know that in faith and with your whole heart ye do question me; therefore do I rejoice over you, for verily I say unto you: I rejoice, and my Father that is in me, because ye question me; and your importunity (shamelessness) is unto me rejoicing and unto you it giveth life. And when he had so said unto us, we were glad that we had questioned him, and we said to him: Lord, in all things thou makest us alive and hast mercy on us. Wilt thou now declare unto us that which we shall ask thee? Then said he unto us: Is it the flesh that passeth away, or is it the spirit? We said unto him: The flesh is it that passeth away. Then said he unto us: That which hath fallen shall rise again, and that which was lost shall be found, and that which was weak shall recover, that in these things that are so created the glory of my Father may be revealed. As he hath done unto me, so will I do unto all that believe in me.
