1E o Senhor, segurando a mão de Adão, entregou-o a Miguel, o arcanjo; e todos os santos seguiram a Miguel, o arcanjo, e ele os conduziu a todos para a gloriosa graça do paraíso.

1And the Lord, holding the hand of Adam, delivered him to Michael the archangel: and all the saints followed Michael the archangel, and he led them all into the glorious grace of paradise.

2E saíram ao encontro deles dois homens, antigos em dias.

2And there met them two men, ancient of days.

3Os santos perguntaram-lhes: Quem sois vós, que ainda não morrestes, nem estivestes conosco nas regiões inferiores, e fostes colocados no paraíso em corpo?

3The saints asked them: Who are you, that have not yet been dead, along with us in the regions below, and have been placed in paradise in the body?

4Um deles respondeu e disse: Eu sou Enoque, que pela palavra do Senhor fui trasladado para cá; e aquele que está comigo é Elias, o tesbita, que foi arrebatado num carro de fogo.

4One of them answered, and said: I am Enoch, who by the word of the Lord have been translated hither; and he who is with me is Elias the Thesbite, who was taken up by a fiery chariot.

5Aqui também, até o presente, não provamos a morte, mas fomos reservados para a vinda do Anticristo, a fim de pelejarmos contra ele por meio de sinais divinos e prodígios, e, sendo mortos por ele em Jerusalém, ressuscitar vivos nas nuvens após três dias e meio.

5Here also even until now we have not tasted death, but have been reserved to the coming of Antichrist, by divine signs and wonders to do battle with him, and, being killed by him in Jerusalem, after three days and half a day to be taken up alive again in the clouds.
