3 Adão e Eva 6

1Após a sua morte, Noé, seus filhos e as esposas deles vieram aos corpos dos nossos pais, adoraram a Deus diante deles, e bendisseram as suas almas diante deles, chorando e estando na mais profunda dor.

1After his death, Noah, his sons, and their wives came to the bodies of our fathers, worshipped God before them, and blessed their souls before them, weeping and being in the deepest grief.

2Noé já havia terminado a arca, e nenhum trabalhador restava nela.

2Yet Noah had finished the ark, and not one workman was left in it.

3E ele, com seus filhos, perseverava em oração a Deus, suplicando-Lhe que lhes mostrasse o caminho da salvação.

3And he, with his sons, continued in prayer to God, asking Him to show them the way of safety.

4Tendo Noé e seus filhos terminado as suas orações, Deus disse-lhe: Entra na caverna dos tesouros, tu e teus filhos, e tomai o corpo de nosso pai Adão e depositai-o na arca;

4When Noah and his sons had ended their prayers, God said unto him, "Go thou into the cave of treasures, thou and thy sons, and take the body of our father Adam and lay it in the ark;

5do mesmo modo tomai o ouro, o incenso e a mirra, e colocai-os na arca juntamente com o seu corpo.

5likewise take the gold, the incense, and the myrrh, and lay them in the ark together with his body."

6E Noé deu ouvidos à voz de Deus, e entrou na caverna dos tesouros, ele e seus filhos;

6And Noah hearkened to God's voice, and went into the cave of treasures, he and his sons;

7eles adoraram a Deus diante dos corpos dos nossos pais, e então Noé tomou o corpo de nosso pai Adão, e o carregou na força de Deus, sem desejar a ajuda de ninguém.

7they worshipped God before the bodies of our fathers, and then Noah took the body of our father Adam, and carried it in the strength of God, not requiring (wishing) the help of any one.

8Então Sem, seu filho, levou o ouro consigo, Cão levou a mirra, e Jafé levou o incenso; e os retiraram da caverna dos tesouros, com lágrimas a correr continuamente pelas suas faces.

8Then Shem his son, took the gold with him, and Ham carried the myrrh, and Japhet carried the incense; and they brought them out of the cave of treasures, their tears all the while streaming down their cheeks.

9Mas, ao estarem a retirá-los, os corpos entre os quais Adão fora posto clamaram: Havemos nós, então, de ser separados de ti, ó nosso pai Adão?

9Yet as they were bringing them out, the bodies among which Adam had been laid, cried out, "Are we then to be separated from thee, O our father Adam?”

10Então o corpo de Adão respondeu: Ah, tenho de partir de vós, meus filhos, desta montanha sagrada!

10Then Adam's body answered, "O, that I must part from you my sons, from this holy mountain!

11Contudo, eu sei, ó meus filhos, que Deus reunirá todos os nossos corpos noutra ocasião.

11Yet do I know, O my sons, that God will gather all our bodies together another time.

12Esperai com paciência até que o nosso Salvador tenha compaixão de nós.

12Yet wait patiently until our Saviour have pity on us."

13E os outros corpos continuaram falando entre si, pelo poder da Palavra de Deus.

13And the other bodies went on talking together, by the power of God's Word.

14Então Adão pediu a Deus que o fogo divino permanecesse na lâmpada diante de seus filhos, até o tempo em que os corpos ressuscitassem.

14Then Adam asked God that the divine fire might remain in the lamp, before his sons, until the time when bodies shall rise again.

15E Deus deixou o fogo divino junto a eles, para derramar luz sobre eles.

15And God left the divine fire by them, to shed light on them.

16Ele então fechou a caverna sobre eles, e não deixou vestígio algum que indicasse onde ficava, até o dia da Ressurreição, quando Ele os ressuscitará como a todos os outros corpos.

16He then closed the cave upon them, and left not a trace to show where it is until the day of the Resurrection, when He will raise them up, like all other bodies.

17Todavia, a palavra que Adão proferiu, e isso estando morto, foi por ordem de Deus, que desejava manifestar as Suas maravilhas entre os mortos e entre os vivos.

17Yet the discourse Adam held, and that too, he being dead, was by the command of God, who would show His wonders among the dead and the living.

18Depois disto, nenhum de vós diga que a alma de Adão já estivera sob o juízo de Satanás.

18After this let none of you say, that Adam's soul had already been under Satan's judgment.

19Não foi assim; antes Deus ordenou às almas dos mortos que saíssem de sob a Sua mão e falassem das maravilhas de Deus de dentro dos seus corpos.

19It was not so; yet God commanded the souls of the dead, to come from under His hand; and to speak of the wonders of God from within their bodies."

20Depois eles retornaram aos seus lugares até o dia da consumada libertação que virá sobre todos eles.

20Then they returned to their places until the day of the sure deliverance that shall be unto them all.
