1It is right and holy, brethren, that we obey God rather than follow those who in arrogance and agitation have become leaders of hateful rivalry.
2For we shall suffer not common harm, but great danger, if we rashly deliver ourselves to the designs of men who cause strife and sedition to alienate us from what is right.
3Let us be good to one another according to the compassion and kindness of him who made us.
4For it is written: The good shall be inhabitants of the land, and the innocent shall be left in it; but the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed from it.
