Zacarias 2

1Tornei a levantar os meus olhos, e vi, e eis um homem que tinha na mão um cordel de medir.

1I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2E eu disse: Para onde vais tu? E ele me disse: Vou medir Jerusalém, para ver qual é a sua largura e qual o seu comprimento.

2Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what {is} the breadth thereof, and what {is} the length thereof.

3E eis que saiu o anjo que falava comigo, e outro anjo lhe saiu ao encontro.

3And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

4E disse-lhe: Corre, fala a este jovem, dizendo: Jerusalém será habitada como as aldeias sem muros, por causa da multidão dos homens e dos animais que haverá nela.

4And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited {as} towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

5Pois eu, diz o Senhor, serei para ela um muro de fogo em redor, e para glória estarei no meio dela.

5For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

6Ah, ah! Fugi agora da terra do norte, diz o Senhor, porque vos espalhei pelos quatro ventos do céu, diz o Senhor.

6Ho, ho, {come forth}, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

7Ah! Sião! Escapa, tu, que habitas com a filha de babilônia.

7Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest {with} the daughter of Babylon.

8Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Depois da glória ele me enviou às nações que vos despojaram; porque aquele que tocar em vós toca na menina do seu olho.

8For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

9Porque eis aí levantarei a minha mão sobre eles, e eles virão a ser a presa daqueles que os serviram; assim sabereis vós que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou.

9For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

10Exulta, e alegra-te ó filha de Sião, porque eis que venho, e habitarei no meio de ti, diz o Senhor.

10Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

11E naquele dia muitas nações se ajuntarão ao Senhor, e serão o meu povo, e habitarei no meio de ti e saberás que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou a ti.

11And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

12Então o Senhor herdará a Judá como sua porção na terra santa, e ainda escolherá a Jerusalém.

12And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

13Cala-te, toda a carne, diante do Senhor, porque ele se levantou da sua santa morada.

13Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. {his...: Heb. the habitation of his holiness}
