2He was a Tishbite, from the land of the Arabs, of the family of Aaron, residing in Gilead because Tishbi had been assigned to the priests.
3Na época de seu nascimento, seu pai, Shobach, viu como certos homens de aparência branca e brilhante se dirigiram ao bebê, e que o envolveram em panos de fogo e lhe deram uma chama de fogo para comer.
3At the time of his birth his father, Shobach, saw how certain men of shining white appearance addressed the babe, and that they wrapped him in swaddling clothes of fire and gave him a flame of fire to eat.
4Quando ele foi e relatou isso em Jerusalém, o oráculo respondeu: Não temas; porque a sua habitação será luz, e a sua palavra revelação, e ele julgará Israel com espada e com fogo.
4When he went and reported this in Jerusalem, the oracle gave answer: Fear not; for his dwelling will be light, and his word revelation, and he will judge Israel with sword and with fire.
