1Então Sete viu a mão de Deus estendida segurando Adão, e Ele o entregou a

1Then Seth saw the hand of God stretched out holding Adam and he handed him over to

2Miguel, dizendo: 'Fique ele sob a tua custódia até o dia do Juízo no castigo, até os últimos anos, quando transformarei a sua tristeza em regozijo.

2Michael, saying: 'Let him be in thy charge till the day of Judgement in punishment, till the last years when I will convert his sorrow into joy.

3Então ele se assentará no trono daquele que foi o seu suplantador.'

3Then shall he sit on the throne of him who hath been his supplanter.'

4E disse o Senhor novamente aos anjos Miguel e Uriel: 'Trazei-Me três panos de linho finíssimo e estendei-os sobre Adão, e outros panos de linho sobre Abel, seu filho, e sepultai Adão e Abel, seu filho.'

4And the Lord said again to the angels Michael and Uriel: 'Bring me three linen clothes of byssus and spread them out over Adam and other linen clothes over Abel his son and bury Adam and Abel his son.'

5E todas as 'potestades' dos anjos marcharam diante de Adão, e o sono dos mortos foi

6consagrado. E os anjos Miguel e Uriel sepultaram Adão e Abel nas partes do Paraíso, diante dos olhos de Sete e de sua mãe

7e de ninguém mais; e Miguel e Uriel disseram: 'Assim como vistes, da mesma maneira sepultai os vossos mortos.'
