1E fizeram de Caim um lavrador, mas de Abel fizeram um pastor, a fim de que deste modo ficassem mutuamente separados.

1And they made Cain an husbandman, (but) Abel they made a shepherd; in order that in this wise they might be mutually separated.

2E depois disso, Caim matou Abel; mas Adão tinha então cento e trinta anos de idade, e Abel foi morto quando tinha cento e vinte e dois anos. E depois disso Adão conheceu a sua mulher, e gerou um filho e chamou o seu nome Sete.

2And thereafter, Cain slew Abel, but Adam was then one hundred and thirty years old, but Abel was slain when he was one hundred and twenty-two years. And thereafter Adam knew his wife and he begat a son and called his name Seth.
