1E Adão levou Eva e o menino e conduziu-os

1And Adam carried Eve and the boy and led

2para o Oriente. E o Senhor Deus enviou diversas sementes pelo arcanjo Miguel, e as deu a Adão e lhe ensinou como trabalhar e cultivar o solo, para que tivessem fruto pelo qual eles e todas as suas gerações pudessem viver.

2them to the East. And the Lord God sent divers seeds by Michael the archangel and gave to Adam and showed him how to work and till the ground, that they might have fruit by which they and all their generations might live.

3Pois depois disso Eva concebeu e deu à luz um filho, cujo nome foi Abel; e Caim e Abel costumavam estar juntos.

3For thereafter Eve conceived and bare a son, whose name was Abel; and Cain and Abel used to stay together.

4E disse Eva a Adão: 'Meu senhor, enquanto eu dormia, vi uma visão: era como se o sangue de nosso filho Abel estivesse na mão de Caim, que o engolia com a sua boca. Por isso tenho tristeza.'

4And Eve said to Adam: 'My lord, while I slept, I saw a vision, as it were the blood of our son Abel in the hand of Cain, who was gulping it down in his mouth. Therefore I have sorrow.'

5E disse Adão: 'Ai de nós se Caim matar Abel! Todavia, separemo-los mutuamente um do outro, e façamos para cada um deles moradas separadas.'

5And Adam said, 'Alas if Cain slew Abel. Yet let us separate them from each other mutually, and let us make for each of them separate dwellings.'
