Evangelho da Infância de Tomé 4

1Depois disso, ele novamente atravessava a aldeia, e um menino correndo esbarrou em seu ombro.

1After this, he was again passing through the village, and a boy running bumped into his shoulder.

2Jesus ficou irritado e disse a ele: Tu não completarás teu caminho.

2Jesus was angry and said to him: You shall not complete your journey.

3E imediatamente o menino caiu morto.

3And immediately the boy fell dead.

4Alguns que viram o que aconteceu disseram: De onde veio este menino, que cada palavra sua é um ato realizado?

4Some who saw what happened said: Where did this child come from, that every word of his is an accomplished deed?

5Os pais do menino morto vieram a José e o culparam, dizendo: Tendo tal filho, não te é permitido viver conosco na aldeia.

5The parents of the dead boy came to Joseph and blamed him, saying: Having such a son, you are not permitted to live with us in the village.

6Ou então, ensina-o a abençoar e não a amaldiçoar. Pois ele mata nossas crianças.

6Or else, teach him to bless and not to curse. For he kills our children.
