Evangelho da Infância de Tomé 11

1Um homem estava construindo uma casa e caiu do alto e morreu.

1A man was building a house and fell from a height and died.

2E havia grande tumulto, e Jesus foi ver o que havia acontecido.

2And there was great tumult, and Jesus went to see what had happened.

3Vendo o homem morto, tomou sua mão e disse: Eu te digo, homem, levanta-te e faze teu trabalho.

3Seeing the dead man, he took his hand and said: I say to you, man, rise up and do your work.

4E imediatamente ele se levantou e o adorou.

4And immediately he rose up and worshiped him.

5A multidão ficou maravilhada e disse: Este menino é do céu, pois salvou muitas almas da morte.

5The multitude marveled and said: This child is from heaven, for he has saved many souls from death.

6E o salvará por toda a sua vida.

6And he will save them throughout his life.

7E quando tinha doze anos, seus pais foram a Jerusalém com uma caravana para a festa da Páscoa.

7And when he was twelve years old, his parents went to Jerusalem with a caravan for the feast of Passover.

8E depois da Páscoa eles retornaram, e o menino Jesus subiu ao templo em Jerusalém.

8And after the Passover they returned, and the child Jesus went up to the temple in Jerusalem.

9E todos os que o ouviam ficavam maravilhados com sua sabedoria.

9And all who heard him marveled at his wisdom.
