Evangelho da Infância de Tomé 10

1José enviou seu filho Tiago para juntar lenha e trazê-la para casa.

1Joseph sent his son James to gather wood and bring it home.

2E o menino Jesus o seguiu.

2And the child Jesus followed him.

3E enquanto Tiago estava catando gravetos, uma víbora mordeu a mão de Tiago.

3And while James was gathering sticks, a viper bit James's hand.

4E enquanto ele estava prostrado no chão morrendo, Jesus se aproximou e soprou em sua mordida.

4And while he was lying on the ground dying, Jesus approached and blew on his bite.

5A dor cessou imediatamente, e a víbora explodiu, e Tiago ficou curado.

5The pain ceased immediately, and the viper exploded, and James was healed.

6E depois disso, uma criancinha vizinha morreu, e sua mãe chorava muito.

6And after this, a neighboring infant died, and its mother wept greatly.

7E Jesus ouviu que havia grande luto, e correu depressa.

7And Jesus heard that there was great mourning, and ran quickly.

8E encontrando o menino morto, tocou seu peito e disse: Eu te digo, menino, não morras, mas vive.

8And finding the child dead, he touched its chest and said: I say to you, child, do not die, but live.

9E imediatamente o menino se levantou.

9And immediately the child rose up.
