Testamento de Salomão 9

1Veio então diante de mim um demônio de três cabeças, terrível de se ver.

1Then there came before me a three-headed demon, terrible to behold.

2A primeira cabeça era de dragão, a segunda de homem, a terceira de asno.

2The first head was that of a dragon, the second of a man, the third of a donkey.

3E eu lhe perguntei: Quem és tu?

3And I asked him: Who are you?

4E a primeira cabeça disse: Eu sou chamado Íax, e destruo a visão dos homens.

4And the first head said: I am called Iax, and I destroy the vision of men.

5A segunda cabeça disse: Eu sou chamado Mianox, e causo conflito entre amigos.

5The second head said: I am called Mianox, and I cause conflict between friends.

6A terceira cabeça disse: Eu sou chamado Taox, e faço os homens cair em tentação.

6The third head said: I am called Taox, and I make men fall into temptation.

7E eu disse: Por qual anjo sois frustrados?

7And I said: By which angel are you frustrated?

8E eles responderam: Pelo arcanjo Rafael.

8And they answered: By the archangel Raphael.

9Então os selei e os coloquei para cavar os fundamentos do templo.

9Then I sealed them and put them to digging the foundations of the temple.

10E eles cumpriam seu trabalho em silêncio.

10And they fulfilled their work in silence.
