Testamento de Isaque 4

1E depois de dizer isso, o anjo levantou-se da cama em que Isaque dormia. Ele voltou aos mundos superiores enquanto nosso pai Isaac o observava partir, surpreso com a visão que teve.

1And when the angel had said this, he rose from the bed on which Isaac was sleeping. He went back to the worlds on high while our father Isaac watched him go, astonished at the vision he had seen.

2E ele disse: ‘Não verei a luz do dia antes de ser chamado’. E enquanto ele pensava nisso, eis que Jacó se levantou e foi até a porta do quarto. O anjo lançou sobre ele um sono para que não os ouvisse; e ele se levantou e correu até onde seu pai dormia e lhe disse: ‘Meu pai, com quem você tem conversado?’.

2And he said: ‘I shall not see daylight before I am sent for’. And while he was thinking this, behold, Jacob got up and came to the door of the room. The angel had cast a sleep over him so that he should not hear them; and he got up and ran to where his father slept and said to him: ‘My father, whom have you been talking to?’.

3Nosso pai Isaque lhe disse: ‘Você ouviu, meu filho: seu pai idoso foi enviado para ser tirado de você’, e Jacó colocou os braços em volta do pescoço de seu pai e chorou, dizendo: ‘Ah, eu! Minhas forças me abandonaram: hoje você me tornou órfão, meu pai’.

3Our father Isaac said to him: ‘You have heard, my son: your aged father has been sent for to be taken from you’, and Jacob put his arms round his father's neck and wept, saying: ‘Ah me! My strength has left me: today you have made me an orphan, my father’.

4Nosso pai Isaque abraçou seu filho Jacó e chorou; e ambos choraram juntos até não poder mais chorar. E Jacó disse: ‘Leva-me contigo, pai Isaque’. Mas Isaque respondeu: ‘Eu não gostaria que fosse assim, meu filho; espere até que você seja chamado, meu querido.

4Our father Isaac embraced his son Jacob and wept; and both wept together until they could weep no more. And Jacob said: ‘Take me with you, father Isaac’. But Isaac replied: ‘I would not have it so, my son; wait until you are sent for, my loved one.

5Lembro-me do dia em que toda a terra foi abalada de ponta a ponta conversando com meu senhor e pai Abraão, e eu não tive forças para fazer nada. O que Deus ordenou, ele ordenou para cada um com autoridade segura: suas ordenanças são imutáveis.

5I remember on the day when the whole earth was shaken from end to end talking to my lord and father Abraham, and I had no strength to do anything. What God has ordained, he has ordained for each one by sure authority: his ordinances are immutable.

6Mas eu sei e estou feliz por ir para Deus e sou fortalecido por um espírito orientador; pois este é um caminho do qual ninguém pode escapar. Ouça, meu filho, onde está a primeira criação das mãos de Deus – nosso pai Adão e nossa mãe Eva? Onde está Abel, e depois dele Maalalel, e Jared, e nosso pai Enoque, e Matusalém, e nosso pai Noé, e seus filhos Sem, Cão e Jafé?

6But I know, and I am glad that I am to go to God, and I am strengthened by a guiding spirit; for this is a way that no one can escape. Listen, my son, Where is the first creation of the hands of God - our father Adam and our mother Eve? Where is Abel, and after him Mahalalel, and Jared, and our father Enoch, and Methuselah, and our father Noah, and his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth?

7Depois destes Arfaxade, e Cainã, e Selá, e Éber, e Reu, e Serugue, e Naor, e Terá, e meu abençoado pai Abraão, e Ló, seu irmão? Todos estes experimentaram a morte, exceto o perfeito, nosso pai Enoque.'

7After these Arpachshad, and Cainan, and Shelah, and Eber, and Reu, and Serug, and Nahor, and Terah, and my blessed father Abraham, and Lot his brother? All these experienced death except the perfect one, our father Enoch.'

8Depois destas, mais quarenta e duas gerações se passarão até que Cristo venha, nascido de uma virgem pura chamada Maria. Ele passará trinta anos pregando no mundo. Ao final de tudo isso, ele escolherá doze homens e lhes revelará seus mistérios e lhes ensinará o arquétipo de seu corpo e seu verdadeiro sangue por meio do pão e do vinho: e o pão se tornará o corpo de Deus e o vinho se tornará o sangue de Deus.

8After these, forty-two generations more shall pass until Christ comes, born of a pure virgin called Mary. He will spend thirty years preaching in the world. At the end of all this, he will choose twelve men and reveal to them his mysteries and teach them about the archetype of his body and his true blood by means of bread and wine: and the bread will become the body of God and the wine will become the blood of God.

9E então ele subirá ao madeiro da cruz e morrerá por toda a criação, e ressuscitará no terceiro dia e despojará o inferno, e libertará toda a humanidade do inimigo.

9And then he will ascend the tree of the cross and die for the whole creation, and rise on the third day and despoil hell, and deliver all mankind from the enemy.

10As gerações vindouras serão salvas pelo seu corpo e pelo seu sangue até o fim dos tempos. Os sacrifícios dos cristãos não cessarão até o fim dos tempos, sejam oferecidos secretamente ou abertamente; e o Anticristo não aparecerá enquanto eles oferecerem o seu sacrifício.

10The generations to come will be saved by his body and by his blood until the end of time. The sacrifices of Christians will not cease until the end of time, whether offered secretly or openly; and the Antichrist will not appear so long as they offer up their sacrifice.

11Bem-aventurado todo homem que realiza esse serviço e acredita nele, porque o serviço arquetípico está nos céus; e eles celebrarão com o Filho de Deus em seu reino.

11Blessed is every man who performs that service and believes in it, because the archetypal service is in the heavens; and they shall celebrate with the Son of God in his kingdom.
