Testamento de Abraão 6

1Então Sara, ouvindo a excelência da conversa do capitão-mor, soube imediatamente que era um anjo do Senhor quem falava.

1Then Sarah, hearing the excellence of the conversation of the chief-captain, straightway knew that it was an angel of the Lord that spoke.

2Sara, portanto, fez sinal a Abraão para que saísse em direção à porta e disse-lhe: Meu Senhor Abraão, você sabe quem é este homem? Abraão disse: não sei.

2Sarah therefore signified to Abraham to come out towards the door, and said to him, My Lord Abraham, do you know who this man is? Abraham said, I know not.

3Sara disse: Tu conheces, meu Senhor, os três homens do céu que foram hospedados por nós em nossa tenda ao lado do carvalho de Manre, quando mataste o cabrito sem defeito, e puseste uma mesa diante deles.

3Sarah said, You know, my Lord, the three men from heaven that were entertained by us in our tent beside the oak of Mamre, when you killed the kid without blemish, and set a table before them.

4Depois de comida a carne, o cabrito levantou-se novamente e chupou a mãe com muita alegria. Não sabes, meu Senhor Abraão, que por promessa nos deram Isaque como fruto do ventre? Destes três homens santos, este é um.

4After the flesh had been eaten, the kid rose again, and sucked its mother with great joy. Do you not know, my Lord Abraham, that by promise they gave to us Isaac as the fruit of the womb? Of these three holy men this is one.

5Abraão disse: Ó Sara, nisto você fala a verdade. Glória e louvor do nosso Deus e Pai. Pois tarde da noite, quando lavei seus pés na bacia, disse em meu coração: Estes são os pés de um dos três homens que lavei então; e suas lágrimas que caíram na bacia tornaram-se então pedras preciosas.

5Abraham said, O Sarah, in this you speak the truth. Glory and praise from our God and the Father. For late in the evening when I washed his feet in the basin I said in my heart, These are the feet of one of the three men that I washed then; and his tears that fell into the basin then became precious stones.

6E sacudindo-os do colo, ele os deu a Sara, dizendo: Se você não acredita em mim, olhe agora para estes.

6And shaking them out from his lap he gave them to Sarah, saying, If you believe me not, look now at these.

7E Sara, recebendo-os, curvou-se e saudou e disse: Glória a Deus que nos mostra coisas maravilhosas. E agora saiba, meu Senhor Abraão, que há entre nós a revelação de alguma coisa, seja ela boa ou má!

7And Sarah receiving them bowed down and saluted and said, Glory be to God that shows us wonderful things. And now know, my Lord Abraham, that there is among us the revelation of some thing, whether it be evil or good!
