Testamento de Abraão 15

1E a voz do Senhor disse também ao capitão-chefe Miguel: Miguel, meu servo, faça Abraão voltar para sua casa, pois eis que seu fim se aproxima e a medida de sua vida está cumprida, para que ele possa colocar todas as coisas em ordem, e então levá-lo e trazê-lo para mim.

1And the voice of the Lord said also to the chief-captain Michael, Michael, my servant, turn back Abraham to his house, for behold his end has come near, and the measure of his life is fulfilled, that he may set all things in order, and then take him and bring him to me.

2Então o capitão-chefe, virando a carruagem e a nuvem, trouxe Abraão para sua casa e, entrando em seu quarto, sentou-se em seu sofá.

2So the chief-captain, turning the chariot and the cloud, brought Abraham to his house, and going into his chamber he sat upon his couch.

3E Sara, sua esposa, veio e abraçou os pés do Incorpóreo, e falou humildemente, dizendo: Eu te dou graças, meu Senhor, por teres trazido meu Senhor Abraão, pois eis que pensávamos que ele havia sido tirado de nós.

3And Sarah his wife came and embraced the feet of the Incorporeal, and spoke humbly, saying, I give you thanks, my Lord, that you have brought my Lord Abraham, for behold we thought he had been taken up from us.

4E seu filho Isaque também veio e se lançou sobre seu pescoço, e da mesma forma todos os seus escravos e escravas cercaram Abraão e o abraçaram, glorificando a Deus.

4And his son Isaac also came and fell upon his neck, and in the same way all his men-slaves and women-slaves surrounded Abraham and embraced him, glorifying God.

5E o Incorpóreo disse-lhes: Escuta, justo Abraão. Eis aqui Sara, tua mulher, eis também Isaque, teu amado filho, eis também todos os teus servos e servas que estão ao teu redor.

5And the Incorporeal one said to them, Hearken, righteous Abraham. Behold your wife Sarah, behold also your beloved son Isaac, behold also all your men-servants and maid-servants round about you.

6Disponha de tudo o que você tem, pois está próximo o dia em que você deixará o corpo e irá para o Senhor de uma vez por todas.

6Make disposition of all that you have, for the day has come near in which you shall depart from the body and go to the Lord once for all.

7Abraão disse: O Senhor disse isso ou você diz isso de si mesmo?

7Abraham said, Has the Lord said it, or do you say this of yourself?

8O capitão-mor respondeu: Escuta, justo Abraão. O Senhor ordenou, e eu o digo a vocês. Abraão disse: não irei contigo.

8The chief-captain answered, Hearken, righteous Abraham. The Lord has commanded, and I tell it you. Abraham said, I will not go with you.

9O capitão-chefe, ouvindo estas palavras, saiu imediatamente da presença de Abraão, e subiu aos céus, e ficou diante de Deus, o Altíssimo, e disse: Senhor Todo-Poderoso, eis que dei ouvidos ao teu amigo Abraão em tudo o que ele te disse, e cumpri seus pedidos.

9The chief-captain, hearing these words, straightway went forth from the presence of Abraham, and went up into the heavens, and stood before God the Most High, and said, Lord Almighty, behold I have hearkened to Your friend Abraham in all he has said to You, and have fulfilled his requests.

10Mostrei-lhe o teu poder e toda a terra e o mar que há debaixo do céu. Mostrei-lhe julgamento e recompensa por meio de nuvens e carros, e novamente ele diz: Não irei contigo.

10I have shown to him Your power, and all the earth and sea that is under heaven. I have shown to him judgment and recompense by means of cloud and chariots, and again he says, I will not go with you.

11E o Altíssimo disse ao anjo: Será que meu amigo Abraão ainda diz assim: não irei contigo?

11And the Most High said to the angel, Does my friend Abraham say thus again, I will not go with you?

12O arcanjo disse: Senhor Todo-Poderoso, ele diz assim, e eu me abstenho de impor as mãos sobre ele, porque desde o início ele é Teu amigo e fez todas as coisas agradáveis ​​aos Teus olhos.

12The archangel said, Lord Almighty, he says thus, and I refrain from laying hands on him, because from the beginning he is Your friend, and has done all things pleasing in Your sight.

13Não há homem como ele na terra, nem mesmo Jó, o homem maravilhoso, e por isso me abstenho de impor as mãos sobre ele. Comande, portanto, Rei Imortal, o que deve ser feito.

13There is no man like him on earth, not even Job the wondrous man, and therefore I refrain from laying hands on him. Command, therefore, Immortal King, what shall be done.
