Testamento de Abraão 13

1E Abraão disse: Meu Senhor capitão-chefe, quem é este juiz maravilhoso? E quem são os anjos que escrevem? E quem é o anjo como o sol, mantendo o equilíbrio? E quem é o anjo de fogo que segura o fogo?

1And Abraham said, My Lord chief-captain, who is this most wondrous judge? And who are the angels that write down? And who is the angel like the sun, holding the balance? And who is the fiery angel holding the fire?

2O capitão-mor disse: Você vê, santíssimo Abraão, o terrível homem sentado no trono? Este é o filho do primeiro Adão criado, chamado Abel, a quem o ímpio Caim matou, e ele se senta assim para julgar toda a criação e examina os homens justos e os pecadores.

2The chief-captain said, Do you see, most holy Abraham, the terrible man sitting upon the throne? This is the son of the first created Adam, who is called Abel, whom the wicked Cain killed, and he sits thus to judge all creation, and examines righteous men and sinners.

3Pois Deus disse: Não te julgarei, mas todo homem nascido do homem será julgado. Portanto, ele lhe deu julgamento para julgar o mundo até sua grande e gloriosa vinda, e então, ó justo Abraão, será o julgamento e recompensa perfeitos, eternos e imutáveis, que ninguém pode alterar.

3For God has said, I shall not judge you, but every man born of man shall be judged. Therefore he has given to him judgment, to judge the world until his great and glorious coming, and then, O righteous Abraham, is the perfect judgment and recompense, eternal and unchangeable, which no one can alter.

4Pois todo homem veio dos primeiros criados e, portanto, eles são primeiro julgados aqui por seu filho, e na segunda vinda serão julgados pelas doze tribos de Israel, todo fôlego e toda criatura. Mas na terceira vez eles serão julgados pelo Senhor Deus de todos, e então, de fato, o fim desse julgamento está próximo, e a sentença é terrível, e não há ninguém para proferir.

4For every man has come from the first-created, and therefore they are first judged here by his son, and at the second coming they shall be judged by the twelve tribes of Israel, every breath and every creature. But the third time they shall be judged by the Lord God of all, and then, indeed, the end of that judgment is near, and the sentence terrible, and there is none to deliver.

5E agora, por três tribunais, o julgamento do mundo e a recompensa são feitos, e por esta razão uma questão não é finalmente confirmada por uma ou duas testemunhas, mas por três testemunhas tudo será estabelecido.

5And now by three tribunals the judgment of the world and the recompense is made, and for this reason a matter is not finally confirmed by one or two witnesses, but by three witnesses shall everything be established.

6Os dois anjos da direita e da esquerda são os que escrevem os pecados e a justiça, o da direita escreve a justiça e o da esquerda os pecados.

6The two angels on the right hand and on the left, these are they that write down the sins and the righteousness, the one on the right hand writes down the righteousness, and the one on the left the sins.

7O anjo como o sol, segurando a balança em sua mão, é o arcanjo, Dokiel o justo pesador, e ele pesa as justiças e os pecados com a justiça de Deus.

7The angel like the sun, holding the balance in his hand, is the archangel, Dokiel the just weigher, and he weighs the righteousnesses and sins with the righteousness of God.

8O anjo ardente e impiedoso, segurando o fogo em sua mão, é o arcanjo Puruel, que tem poder sobre o fogo e prova as obras dos homens através do fogo, e se o fogo consumir a obra de qualquer homem, o anjo do julgamento imediatamente o apodera e o leva para o lugar dos pecadores, um lugar de punição muito amargo.

8The fiery and pitiless angel, holding the fire in his hand, is the archangel Puruel, who has power over fire, and tries the works of men through fire, and if the fire consume the work of any man, the angel of judgment immediately seizes him, and carries him away to the place of sinners, a most bitter place of punishment.

9Mas se o fogo aprova a obra de alguém e não se apodera dela, esse homem é justificado, e o anjo da justiça o toma e o leva para ser salvo na sorte dos justos.

9But if the fire approves the work of anyone, and does not seize upon it, that man is justified, and the angel of righteousness takes him and carries him up to be saved in the lot of the just.

10E assim, íntegro Abraão, todas as coisas em todos os homens são provadas pelo fogo e pela balança.

10And thus, most righteous Abraham, all things in all men are tried by fire and the balance.
