Salmos 99

1O SENHOR reina; tremam os povos. Ele está assentado entre os querubins; comova-se a terra.

1The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth {between} the cherubims; let the earth be moved. {be moved: Heb. stagger}

2O Senhor é grande em Sião, e mais alto do que todos os povos.

2The LORD {is} great in Zion; and he {is} high above all the people.

3Louvem o teu nome, grande e tremendo, pois é santo.

3Let them praise thy great and terrible name; {for} it {is} holy.

4Também o poder do Rei ama o juízo; tu firmas a eqüidade, fazes juízo e justiça em Jacó.

4The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

5Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos diante do escabelo de seus pés, pois é santo.

5Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; {for} he {is} holy. {he is...: or, it is holy}

6Moisés e Arão, entre os seus sacerdotes, e Samuel entre os que invocam o seu nome, clamavam ao Senhor, e Ele lhes respondia.

6Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7Na coluna de nuvem lhes falava; eles guardaram os seus testemunhos, e os estatutos que lhes dera.

7He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance {that} he gave them.

8Tu os escutaste, Senhor nosso Deus: tu foste um Deus que lhes perdoaste, ainda que tomaste vingança dos seus feitos.

8Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

9Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus e adorai-o no seu monte santo, pois o Senhor nosso Deus é santo.

9Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God {is} holy.
