Salmos 94

1Ó Senhor Deus, a quem a vingança pertence, ó Deus, a quem a vingança pertence, mostra-te resplandecente.

1O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. {God...: Heb. God of revenges} {shew...: Heb. shine forth}

2Exalta-te, tu, que és juiz da terra; dá a paga aos soberbos.

2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3Até quando os ímpios, Senhor, até quando os ímpios saltarão de prazer?

3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4Até quando proferirão, e falarão coisas duras, e se gloriarão todos os que praticam a iniqüidade?

4{How long} shall they utter {and} speak hard things? {and} all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5Reduzem a pedaços o teu povo, ó Senhor, e afligem a tua herança.

5They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

6Matam a viúva e o estrangeiro, e ao órfão tiram a vida.

6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7Contudo dizem: O Senhor não o verá; nem para isso atenderá o Deus de Jacó.

7Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard {it}.

8Atendei, ó brutais dentre o povo; e vós, loucos, quando sereis sábios?

8Understand, ye brutish among the people: and {ye} fools, when will ye be wise?

9Aquele que fez o ouvido não ouvirá? E o que formou o olho, não verá?

9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10Aquele que argüi os gentios não castigará? E o que ensina ao homem o conhecimento, não saberá?

10He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, {shall not he know}?

11O Senhor conhece os pensamentos do homem, que são vaidade.

11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they {are} vanity.

12Bem-aventurado é o homem a quem tu castigas, ó Senhor, e a quem ensinas a tua lei;

12Blessed {is} the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13Para lhe dares descanso dos dias maus, até que se abra a cova para o ímpio.

13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14Pois o Senhor não rejeitará o seu povo, nem desamparará a sua herança.

14For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15Mas o juízo voltará à retidão, e segui-lo-ão todos os retos de coração.

15But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. {shall follow...: Heb. shall be after it}

16Quem será por mim contra os malfeitores? Quem se porá por mim contra os que praticam a iniqüidade?

16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? {or} who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17Se o Senhor não tivera ido em meu auxílio, a minha alma quase que teria ficado no silêncio.

17Unless the LORD {had been} my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. {almost: or, quickly}

18Quando eu disse: O meu pé vacila; a tua benignidade, Senhor, me susteve.

18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19Na multidão dos meus pensamentos dentro de mim, as tuas consolações recrearam a minha alma.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20Porventura o trono de iniqüidade te acompanha, o qual forja o mal por uma lei?

20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21Eles se ajuntam contra a alma do justo, e condenam o sangue inocente.

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22Mas o Senhor é a minha defesa; e o meu Deus é a rocha do meu refúgio.

22But the LORD is my defence; and my God {is} the rock of my refuge.

23E trará sobre eles a sua própria iniqüidade; e os destruirá na sua própria malícia; o Senhor nosso Deus os destruirá.

23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; {yea}, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
