Salmos 90

1SENHOR, tu tens sido o nosso refúgio, de geração em geração.

1A Prayer of Moses the man of God.] Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. {A Prayer...: or, A Prayer, being a Psalm of Moses} {in...: Heb. in generation and generation}

2Antes que os montes nascessem, ou que tu formasses a terra e o mundo, mesmo de eternidade a eternidade, tu és Deus.

2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou {art} God.

3Tu reduzes o homem à destruição; e dizes: Tornai-vos, filhos dos homens.

3Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4Porque mil anos são aos teus olhos como o dia de ontem que passou, e como a vigília da noite.

4For a thousand years in thy sight {are but} as yesterday when it is past, and {as} a watch in the night. {when...: or, when he hath passed them}

5Tu os levas como uma corrente de água; são como um sono; de manhã são como a erva que cresce.

5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are {as} a sleep: in the morning {they are} like grass {which} groweth up. {groweth...: or, is changed}

6De madrugada floresce e cresce; à tarde corta-se e seca.

6In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

7Pois somos consumidos pela tua ira, e pelo teu furor somos angustiados.

7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

8Diante de ti puseste as nossas iniqüidades, os nossos pecados ocultos, à luz do teu rosto.

8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret {sins} in the light of thy countenance.

9Pois todos os nossos dias vão passando na tua indignação; passamos os nossos anos como um conto que se conta.

9For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale {that is told}. {passed...: Heb. turned away} {as a...: or, as a meditation}

10Os dias da nossa vida chegam a setenta anos, e se alguns, pela sua robustez, chegam a oitenta anos, o orgulho deles é canseira e enfado, pois cedo se corta e vamos voando.

10The days of our years {are} threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength {they be} fourscore years, yet {is} their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. {The days...: Heb. As for the days of our years, in them are seventy years}

11Quem conhece o poder da tua ira? Segundo és tremendo, assim é o teu furor.

11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, {so is} thy wrath.

12Ensina-nos a contar os nossos dias, de tal maneira que alcancemos corações sábios.

12So teach {us} to number our days, that we may apply {our} hearts unto wisdom. {apply: Heb. cause to come}

13Volta-te para nós, Senhor; até quando? Aplaca-te para com os teus servos.

13Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14Farta-nos de madrugada com a tua benignidade, para que nos regozijemos, e nos alegremos todos os nossos dias.

14O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15Alegra-nos pelos dias em que nos afligiste, e pelos anos em que vimos o mal.

15Make us glad according to the days {wherein} thou hast afflicted us, {and} the years {wherein} we have seen evil.

16Apareça a tua obra aos teus servos, e a tua glória sobre seus filhos.

16Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17E seja sobre nós a formosura do Senhor nosso Deus, e confirma sobre nós a obra das nossas mãos; sim, confirma a obra das nossas mãos.

17And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
