Salmos 9

1Eu te louvarei, Senhor, com todo o meu coração; contarei todas as tuas maravilhas.

1To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David.] I will praise {thee}, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2Em ti me alegrarei e saltarei de prazer; cantarei louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo.

2I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

3Porquanto os meus inimigos retornaram, caíram e pereceram diante da tua face.

3When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

4Pois tu tens sustentado o meu direito e a minha causa; tu te assentaste no tribunal, julgando justamente;.

4For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. {maintained...: Heb. made my judgment} {judging right: Heb. judging in righteousness}

5Repreendeste as nações, destruíste os ímpios; apagaste o seu nome para sempre e eternamente.

5Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

6Oh! inimigo! acabaram-se para sempre as assolações; e tu arrasaste as cidades, e a sua memória pereceu com elas.

6O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. {O thou...: or, The destructions of the enemy are come to a perpetual end: and their cities hast thou destroyed, etc}

7Mas o Senhor está assentado perpetuamente; já preparou o seu tribunal para julgar.

7But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

8Ele mesmo julgará o mundo com justiça; exercerá juízo sobre povos com retidão.

8And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

9O Senhor será também um alto refúgio para o oprimido; um alto refúgio em tempos de angústia.

9The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. {a refuge: Heb. an high place}

10Em ti confiarão os que conhecem o teu nome; porque tu, Senhor, nunca desamparaste os que te buscam.

10And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11Cantai louvores ao Senhor, que habita em Sião; anunciai entre os povos os seus feitos.

11Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

12Pois quando inquire do derramamento de sangue, lembra-se deles: não se esquece do clamor dos aflitos.

12When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. {humble: or, afflicted}

13Tem misericórdia de mim, Senhor, olha para a minha aflição, causada por aqueles que me odeiam; tu que me levantas das portas da morte;.

13Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble {which I suffer} of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

14Para que eu conte todos os teus louvores nas portas da filha de Sião, e me alegre na tua salvação.

14That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

15Os gentios enterraram-se na cova que fizeram; na rede que ocultaram ficou preso o seu pé.

15The heathen are sunk down in the pit {that} they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

16O Senhor é conhecido pelo juízo que fez; enlaçado foi o ímpio nas obras de suas mãos. (Higaiom; Selá.).

16The LORD is known {by} the judgment {which} he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. {Higgaion: that is, Meditation}

17Os ímpios serão lançados no inferno, e todas as nações que se esquecem de Deus.

17The wicked shall be turned into hell, {and} all the nations that forget God.

18Porque o necessitado não será esquecido para sempre, nem a expectação dos pobres perecerá perpetuamente.

18For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall {not} perish for ever.

19Levanta-te, Senhor; não prevaleça o homem; sejam julgados os gentios diante da tua face.

19Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

20Põe-os em medo, Senhor, para que saibam as nações que são formadas por meros homens. (Selá.).

20Put them in fear, O LORD: {that} the nations may know themselves {to be but} men. Selah.
