Salmos 89

1As benignidades do SENHOR cantarei perpetuamente; com a minha boca manifestarei a tua fidelidade de geração em geração.

2Pois disse eu: A tua benignidade será edificada para sempre; tu confirmarás a tua fidelidade até nos céus, dizendo:

2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

3Fiz uma aliança com o meu escolhido, e jurei ao meu servo Davi, dizendo:

3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

4A tua semente estabelecerei para sempre, e edificarei o teu trono de geração em geração. (Selá.)

4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

5E os céus louvarão as tuas maravilhas, ó Senhor, a tua fidelidade também na congregação dos santos.

5And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

6Pois quem no céu se pode igualar ao Senhor? Quem entre os filhos dos poderosos pode ser semelhante ao Senhor?

6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? {who} among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

7Deus é muito formidável na assembléia dos santos, e para ser reverenciado por todos os que o cercam.

7God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all {them that are} about him.

8Ó Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, quem é poderoso como tu, Senhor, com a tua fidelidade ao redor de ti?

8O LORD God of hosts, who {is} a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

9Tu dominas o ímpeto do mar; quando as suas ondas se levantam, tu as fazes aquietar.

9Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

10Tu quebraste a Raabe como se fora ferida de morte; espalhaste os teus inimigos com o teu braço forte.

10Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm. {Rahab: or, Egypt} {thy...: Heb. the arm of thy strength}

11Teus são os céus, e tua é a terra; o mundo e a sua plenitude tu os fundaste.

11The heavens {are} thine, the earth also {is} thine: {as for} the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. {the fulness...: or, all it containeth}

12O norte e o sul tu os criaste; Tabor e Hermom jubilam em teu nome.

12The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

13Tu tens um braço poderoso; forte é a tua mão, e alta está a tua destra.

13Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, {and} high is thy right hand. {a...: Heb. an arm with might}

14Justiça e juízo são a base do teu trono; misericórdia e verdade irão adiante do teu rosto.

14Justice and judgment {are} the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. {habitation: or, establishment}

15Bem-aventurado o povo que conhece o som alegre; andará, ó Senhor, na luz da tua face.

15Blessed {is} the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.

16Em teu nome se alegrará todo o dia, e na tua justiça se exaltará.

16In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

17Pois tu és a glória da sua força; e no teu favor será exaltado o nosso poder.

17For thou {art} the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

18Porque o Senhor é a nossa defesa, e o Santo de Israel o nosso Rei.

18For the LORD {is} our defence; and the Holy One of Israel {is} our king. {the LORD...: or, our shield is of the LORD, and our king is of the Holy One of Israel}

19Então falaste em visão ao teu santo, e disseste: Pus o socorro sobre um que é poderoso; exaltei a um eleito do povo.

19Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon {one that is} mighty; I have exalted {one} chosen out of the people.

20Achei a Davi, meu servo; com santo óleo o ungi,

20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

21Com o qual a minha mão ficará firme, e o meu braço o fortalecerá.

21With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

22O inimigo não o importunará, nem o filho da perversidade o afligirá.

22The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

23E eu derrubarei os seus inimigos perante a sua face, e ferirei aos que o odeiam.

23And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

24E a minha fidelidade e a minha benignidade estarão com ele; e em meu nome será exaltado o seu poder.

24But my faithfulness and my mercy {shall be} with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

25Porei também a sua mão no mar, e a sua direita nos rios.

25I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26Ele me chamará, dizendo: Tu és meu pai, meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação.

26He shall cry unto me, Thou {art} my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27Também o farei meu primogênito mais elevado do que os reis da terra.

27Also I will make him {my} firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28A minha benignidade lhe conservarei eu para sempre, e a minha aliança lhe será firme,

28My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

29E conservarei para sempre a sua semente, e o seu trono como os dias do céu.

29His seed also will I make {to endure} for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30Se os seus filhos deixarem a minha lei, e não andarem nos meus juízos,

30If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

31Se profanarem os meus preceitos, e não guardarem os meus mandamentos,

31If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; {break: Heb. profane}

32Então visitarei a sua transgressão com a vara, e a sua iniqüidade com açoites.

32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33Mas não retirarei totalmente dele a minha benignidade, nem faltarei à minha fidelidade.

33Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. {will...: Heb. I will not make void from him} {to fall: Heb. to lie}

34Não quebrarei a minha aliança, não alterarei o que saiu dos meus lábios.

34My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35Uma vez jurei pela minha santidade que não mentirei a Davi.

35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. {that...: Heb. if I lie}

36A sua semente durará para sempre, e o seu trono, como o sol diante de mim.

36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

37Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua e como uma testemunha fiel no céu. (Selá.)

37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and {as} a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

38Mas tu rejeitaste e aborreceste; tu te indignaste contra o teu ungido.

38But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

39Abominaste a aliança do teu servo; profanaste a sua coroa, lançando-a por terra.

39Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown {by casting it} to the ground.

40Derrubaste todos os seus muros; arruinaste as suas fortificações.

40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

41Todos os que passam pelo caminho o despojam; é um opróbrio para os seus vizinhos.

41All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

42Exaltaste a destra dos seus adversários; fizeste com que todos os seus inimigos se regozijassem.

42Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

43Também embotaste o fio da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na peleja.

43Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

44Fizeste cessar a sua glória, e deitaste por terra o seu trono.

44Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground. {glory: Heb. brightness}

45Abreviaste os dias da sua mocidade; cobriste-o de vergonha. (Selá.)

45The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

46Até quando, Senhor? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? Arderá a tua ira como fogo?

46How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

47Lembra-te de quão breves são os meus dias; por que criarias debalde todos os filhos dos homens?

47Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

48Que homem há, que viva, e não veja a morte? Livrará ele a sua alma do poder da sepultura? (Selá.)

48What man {is he that} liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

49Senhor, onde estão as tuas antigas benignidades que juraste a Davi pela tua verdade?

49Lord, where {are} thy former lovingkindnesses, {which} thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

50Lembra-te, Senhor, do opróbrio dos teus servos; como eu trago no meu peito o opróbrio de todos os povos poderosos,

50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; {how} I do bear in my bosom {the reproach of} all the mighty people;

51Com o qual, Senhor, os teus inimigos têm difamado, com o qual têm difamado as pisadas do teu ungido.

51Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

52Bendito seja o Senhor para sempre. Amém, e Amém.
