Salmos 85

1Abençoaste, SENHOR, a tua terra; fizeste voltar o cativeiro de Jacó.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.] LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. {for the sons: or, of the sons} {favourable: or, well pleased}

2Perdoaste a iniqüidade do teu povo; cobriste todos os seus pecados. (Selá.)

2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3Fizeste cessar toda a tua indignação; desviaste-te do ardor da tua ira.

3Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned {thyself} from the fierceness of thine anger. {thyself...: or, thine anger from waxing hot}

4Torna-nos a trazer, ó Deus da nossa salvação, e faze cessar a tua ira de sobre nós.

4Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5Acaso estarás sempre irado contra nós? Estenderás a tua ira a todas as gerações?

5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6Não tornarás a vivificar-nos, para que o teu povo se alegre em ti?

6Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7Mostra-nos, Senhor, a tua misericórdia, e concede-nos a tua salvação.

7Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

8Escutarei o que Deus, o Senhor, falar; porque falará de paz ao seu povo, e aos santos, para que não voltem à loucura.

8I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9Certamente que a salvação está perto daqueles que o temem, para que a glória habite na nossa terra.

9Surely his salvation {is} nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10A misericórdia e a verdade se encontraram; a justiça e a paz se beijaram.

10Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed {each other}.

11A verdade brotará da terra, e a justiça olhará desde os céus.

11Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12Também o Senhor dará o que é bom, e a nossa terra dará o seu fruto.

12Yea, the LORD shall give {that which is} good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13A justiça irá adiante dele, e nos porá no caminho das suas pisadas.

13Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set {us} in the way of his steps.
