Salmos 84

1Quão amáveis são os teus tabernáculos, SENHOR dos Exércitos!

1To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.] How amiable {are} thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! {for the sons: or, of the sons}

2A minha alma está desejosa, e desfalece pelos átrios do Senhor; o meu coração e a minha carne clamam pelo Deus vivo.

2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

3Até o pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde ponha seus filhos, até mesmo nos teus altares, Senhor dos Exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.

3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, {even} thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

4Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; louvar-te-ão continuamente. (Selá.)

4Blessed {are} they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

5Bem-aventurado o homem cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração estão os caminhos aplanados.

5Blessed {is} the man whose strength {is} in thee; in whose heart {are} the ways {of them}.

6Que, passando pelo vale de Baca, faz dele uma fonte; a chuva também enche os tanques.

6{Who} passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. {Baca...: or, mulberry trees make him a well, etc} {filleth: Heb. covereth}

7Vão indo de força em força; cada um deles em Sião aparece perante Deus.

7They go from strength to strength, {every one of them} in Zion appeareth before God. {strength to...: or, company to company}

8Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, escuta a minha oração; inclina os ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacó! (Selá.)

8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

9Olha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.

9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

10Porque vale mais um dia nos teus átrios do que mil. Preferiria estar à porta da casa do meu Deus, a habitar nas tendas dos ímpios.

10For a day in thy courts {is} better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. {I had...: Heb. I would choose rather to sit at the threshold}

11Porque o Senhor Deus é um sol e escudo; o Senhor dará graça e glória; não retirará bem algum aos que andam na retidão.

11For the LORD God {is} a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good {thing} will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12Senhor dos Exércitos, bem-aventurado o homem que em ti põe a sua confiança.

12O LORD of hosts, blessed {is} the man that trusteth in thee.
