Salmos 80

1Tu, que és pastor de Israel, dá ouvidos; tu, que guias a José como a um rebanho; tu, que te assentas entre os querubins, resplandece.

1To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph.] Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest {between} the cherubims, shine forth. {of: or, for}

2Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder, e vem salvar-nos.

2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come {and} save us. {come...: Heb. come for salvation to us}

3Faze-nos voltar, ó Deus, e faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

4Ó Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, até quando te indignarás contra a oração do teu povo?

4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? {be...: Heb. smoke}

5Tu os sustentas com pão de lágrimas, e lhes dás a beber lágrimas com abundância.

5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

6Tu nos pões em contendas com os nossos vizinhos, e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós entre si.

6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

7Faze-nos voltar, ó Deus dos Exércitos, e faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

8Trouxeste uma vinha do Egito; lançaste fora os gentios, e a plantaste.

8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

9Preparaste-lhe lugar, e fizeste com que ela deitasse raízes, e encheu a terra.

9Thou preparedst {room} before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.

10Os montes foram cobertos da sua sombra, e os seus ramos se fizeram como os formosos cedros.

10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof {were like} the goodly cedars. {goodly...: Heb. cedars of God}

11Ela estendeu a sua ramagem até ao mar, e os seus ramos até ao rio.

11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.

12Por que quebraste então os seus valados, de modo que todos os que passam por ela a vindimam?

12Why hast thou {then} broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?

13O javali da selva a devasta, e as feras do campo a devoram.

13The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.

14Oh! Deus dos Exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos, atende dos céus, e vê, e visita esta vide;

14Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

15E a videira que a tua destra plantou, e o sarmento que fortificaste para ti.

15And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch {that} thou madest strong for thyself.

16Está queimada pelo fogo, está cortada; pereceu pela repreensão da tua face.

16{It is} burned with fire, {it is} cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17Seja a tua mão sobre o homem da tua destra, sobre o filho do homem, que fortificaste para ti.

17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man {whom} thou madest strong for thyself.

18Assim nós não te viraremos as costas; guarda-nos em vida, e invocaremos o teu nome.

18So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

19Faze-nos voltar, Senhor Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

19Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
