Salmos 76

1Conhecido é Deus em Judá; grande é o seu nome em Israel.

1To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm {or} Song of Asaph.] In Judah {is} God known: his name {is} great in Israel. {chief...: or, overseer} {of: or, for}

2E em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e a sua morada em Sião.

2In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

3Ali quebrou as flechas do arco; o escudo, e a espada, e a guerra. (Selá.)

3There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

4Tu és mais ilustre e glorioso do que os montes de caça.

4Thou {art} more glorious {and} excellent than the mountains of prey.

5Os que são ousados de coração são despojados; dormiram o seu sono; e nenhum dos homens de força achou as próprias mãos.

5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

6À tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, carros e cavalos são lançados num sono profundo.

6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7Tu, tu és temível; e quem subsistirá à tua vista, uma vez que te irares?

7Thou, {even} thou, {art} to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,

8Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9Quando Deus se levantou para fazer juízo, para livrar a todos os mansos da terra. (Selá.)

9When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10Certamente a cólera do homem redundará em teu louvor; o restante da cólera tu o restringirás.

10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11Fazei votos, e pagai ao Senhor vosso Deus; tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele, àquele que é temível.

11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. {unto him...: Heb. to fear}

12Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes; é tremendo para com os reis da terra.

12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: {he is} terrible to the kings of the earth.
