Salmos 75

1A ti, ó Deus, glorificamos, a ti damos louvor, pois o teu nome está perto, as tuas maravilhas o declaram.

1To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Psalm {or} Song of Asaph.] Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, {unto thee} do we give thanks: for {that} thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. {Altaschith: or, Destroy not} {of: or, for}

2Quando eu ocupar o lugar determinado, julgarei retamente.

2When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. {receive...: or, take a set time}

3A terra e todos os seus moradores estão dissolvidos, mas eu fortaleci as suas colunas. (Selá.)

3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

4Disse eu aos loucos: Não enlouqueçais, e aos ímpios: Não levanteis a fronte;

4I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

5Não levanteis a vossa fronte altiva, nem faleis com cerviz dura.

5Lift not up your horn on high: speak {not with} a stiff neck.

6Porque nem do oriente, nem do ocidente, nem do deserto vem a exaltação.

6For promotion {cometh} neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. {south: Heb. desert}

7Mas Deus é o Juiz: a um abate, e a outro exalta.

7But God {is} the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

8Porque na mão do Senhor há um cálice cujo vinho é tinto; está cheio de mistura; e dá a beber dele; mas as escórias dele todos os ímpios da terra as sorverão e beberão.

8For in the hand of the LORD {there is} a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring {them} out, {and} drink {them}.

9E eu o declararei para sempre; cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó.

9But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10E quebrarei todas as forças dos ímpios, mas as forças dos justos serão exaltadas.

10All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; {but} the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
