Salmos 73

1Verdadeiramente bom é Deus para com Israel, para com os limpos de coração.

1A Psalm of Asaph.] Truly God {is} good to Israel, {even} to such as are of a clean heart. {of: or, for} {Truly: or, Yet} {of...: Heb. clean of heart}

2Quanto a mim, os meus pés quase que se desviaram; pouco faltou para que escorregassem os meus passos.

2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3Pois eu tinha inveja dos néscios, quando via a prosperidade dos ímpios.

3For I was envious at the foolish, {when} I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4Porque não há apertos na sua morte, mas firme está a sua força.

4For {there are} no bands in their death: but their strength {is} firm. {firm: Heb. fat}

5Não se acham em trabalhos como outros homens, nem são afligidos como outros homens.

5They {are} not in trouble {as other} men; neither are they plagued like {other} men. {in...: Heb. in the trouble of other men} {like: Heb. with}

6Por isso a soberba os cerca como um colar; vestem-se de violência como de adorno.

6Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them {as} a garment.

7Os olhos deles estão inchados de gordura; eles têm mais do que o coração podia desejar.

7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. {have...: Heb. pass the thoughts of the heart}

8São corrompidos e tratam maliciosamente de opressão; falam arrogantemente.

8They are corrupt, and speak wickedly {concerning} oppression: they speak loftily.

9Põem as suas bocas contra os céus, e as suas línguas andam pela terra.

9They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10Por isso o povo dele volta aqui, e águas de copo cheio se lhes espremem.

10Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full {cup} are wrung out to them.

11E eles dizem: Como o sabe Deus? Há conhecimento no Altíssimo?

11And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12Eis que estes são ímpios, e prosperam no mundo; aumentam em riquezas.

12Behold, these {are} the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase {in} riches.

13Na verdade que em vão tenho purificado o meu coração; e lavei as minhas mãos na inocência.

13Verily I have cleansed my heart {in} vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14Pois todo o dia tenho sido afligido, e castigado cada manhã.

14For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. {chastened: Heb. my chastisement was}

15Se eu dissesse: Falarei assim; eis que ofenderia a geração de teus filhos.

15If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend {against} the generation of thy children.

16Quando pensava em entender isto, foi para mim muito doloroso;

16When I thought to know this, it {was} too painful for me; {too...: Heb. labour in mine eyes}

17Até que entrei no santuário de Deus; então entendi eu o fim deles.

17Until I went into the sanctuary of God; {then} understood I their end.

18Certamente tu os puseste em lugares escorregadios; tu os lanças em destruição.

18Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

19Como caem na desolação, quase num momento! Ficam totalmente consumidos de terrores.

19How are they {brought} into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

20Como um sonho, quando se acorda, assim, ó Senhor, quando acordares, desprezarás a aparência deles.

20As a dream when {one} awaketh; {so}, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

21Assim o meu coração se azedou, e sinto picadas nos meus rins.

21Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

22Assim me embruteci, e nada sabia; fiquei como um animal perante ti.

22So foolish {was} I, and ignorant: I was {as} a beast before thee. {ignorant: Heb. I knew not} {before Heb. with}

23Todavia estou de contínuo contigo; tu me sustentaste pela minha mão direita.

23Nevertheless I {am} continually with thee: thou hast holden {me} by my right hand.

24Guiar-me-ás com o teu conselho, e depois me receberás na glória.

24Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me {to} glory.

25Quem tenho eu no céu senão a ti? e na terra não há quem eu deseje além de ti.

25Whom have I in heaven {but thee}? and {there is} none upon earth {that} I desire beside thee.

26A minha carne e o meu coração desfalecem; mas Deus é a fortaleza do meu coração, e a minha porção para sempre.

26My flesh and my heart faileth: {but} God {is} the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. {strength: Heb. rock}

27Pois eis que os que se alongam de ti, perecerão; tu tens destruído todos aqueles que se desviam de ti.

27For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

28Mas para mim, bom é aproximar-me de Deus; pus a minha confiança no Senhor DEUS, para anunciar todas as tuas obras.

28But {it is} good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
