Salmos 69

1Livra-me, ó Deus, pois as águas entraram até à minha alma.

1To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, {A Psalm} of David.] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto {my} soul.

2Atolei-me em profundo lamaçal, onde se não pode estar em pé; entrei na profundeza das águas, onde a corrente me leva.

2I sink in deep mire, where {there is} no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. {deep mire: Heb. the mire of depth} {deep waters: Heb. depth of waters}

3Estou cansado de clamar; a minha garganta se secou; os meus olhos desfalecem esperando o meu Deus.

3I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4Aqueles que me odeiam sem causa são mais do que os cabelos da minha cabeça; aqueles que procuram destruir-me, sendo injustamente meus inimigos, são poderosos; então restituí o que não furtei.

4They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, {being} mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored {that} which I took not away.

5Tu, ó Deus, bem conheces a minha estultice; e os meus pecados não te são encobertos.

5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. {sins: Heb. guiltiness}

6Não sejam envergonhados por minha causa aqueles que esperam em ti, ó Senhor, DEUS dos Exércitos; não sejam confundidos por minha causa aqueles que te buscam, ó Deus de Israel.

6Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

7Porque por amor de ti tenho suportado afrontas; a confusão cobriu o meu rosto.

7Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

8Tenho-me tornado um estranho para com meus irmãos, e um desconhecido para com os filhos de minha mãe.

8I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

9Pois o zelo da tua casa me devorou, e as afrontas dos que te afrontam caíram sobre mim.

9For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

10Quando chorei, e castiguei com jejum a minha alma, isto se me tornou em afrontas.

10When I wept, {and chastened} my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

11Pus por vestido um saco, e me fiz um provérbio para eles.

11I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

12Aqueles que se assentam à porta falam contra mim; e fui o cântico dos bebedores de bebida forte.

12They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I {was} the song of the drunkards. {drunkards: Heb. drinkers of strong drink}

13Eu, porém, faço a minha oração a ti, Senhor, num tempo aceitável; ó Deus, ouve-me segundo a grandeza da tua misericórdia, segundo a verdade da tua salvação.

13But as for me, my prayer {is} unto thee, O LORD, {in} an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

14Tira-me do lamaçal, e não me deixes atolar; seja eu livre dos que me odeiam, e das profundezas das águas.

14Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15Não me leve a corrente das águas, e não me absorva ao profundo, nem o poço cerre a sua boca sobre mim.

15Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16Ouve-me, Senhor, pois boa é a tua misericórdia. Olha para mim segundo a tua muitíssima piedade.

16Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness {is} good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

17E não escondas o teu rosto do teu servo, porque estou angustiado; ouve-me depressa.

17And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. {hear...: Heb. make haste to hear me}

18Aproxima-te da minha alma, e resgata-a; livra-me por causa dos meus inimigos.

18Draw nigh unto my soul, {and} redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

19Bem tens conhecido a minha afronta, e a minha vergonha, e a minha confusão; diante de ti estão todos os meus adversários.

19Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries {are} all before thee.

20Afrontas me quebrantaram o coração, e estou fraquíssimo; esperei por alguém que tivesse compaixão, mas não houve nenhum; e por consoladores, mas não os achei.

20Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked {for some} to take pity, but {there was} none; and for comforters, but I found none. {to take...: Heb. to lament with me}

21Deram-me fel por mantimento, e na minha sede me deram a beber vinagre.

21They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22Torne-se-lhes a sua mesa diante deles em laço, e a prosperidade em armadilha.

22Let their table become a snare before them: and {that which should have been} for {their} welfare, {let it become} a trap.

23Escureçam-se-lhes os seus olhos, para que não vejam, e faze com que os seus lombos tremam constantemente.

23Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

24Derrama sobre eles a tua indignação, e prenda-os o ardor da tua ira.

24Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

25Fique desolado o seu palácio; e não haja quem habite nas suas tendas.

25Let their habitation be desolate; {and} let none dwell in their tents. {their habitation: Heb. their palace} {let none...: Heb. let there not be a dweller}

26Pois perseguem àquele a quem feriste, e conversam sobre a dor daqueles a quem chagaste.

26For they persecute {him} whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. {those...: Heb. thy wounded}

27Acrescenta iniqüidade à iniqüidade deles, e não entrem na tua justiça.

27Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. {iniquity unto...: or, punishment of iniquity, etc}

28Sejam riscados do livro dos vivos, e não sejam inscritos com os justos.

28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

29Eu, porém, sou pobre e estou triste; ponha-me a tua salvação, ó Deus, num alto retiro.

29But I {am} poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30Louvarei o nome de Deus com um cântico, e engrandecê-lo-ei com ação de graças.

30I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31Isto será mais agradável ao Senhor do que boi, ou bezerro que tem chifres e unhas.

31{This} also shall please the LORD better than an ox {or} bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32Os mansos verão isto, e se agradarão; o vosso coração viverá, pois que buscais a Deus.

32The humble shall see {this, and} be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. {humble: or, meek}

33Porque o Senhor ouve os necessitados, e não despreza os seus cativos.

33For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

34Louvem-no os céus e a terra, os mares e tudo quanto neles se move.

34Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein. {moveth: Heb. creepeth}

35Porque Deus salvará a Sião, e edificará as cidades de Judá; para que habitem ali e a possuam.

35For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

36E herdá-la-á a semente de seus servos, e os que amam o seu nome habitarão nela.

36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
