Salmos 68

1Levante-se Deus, e sejam dissipados os seus inimigos; fugirão de diante dele os que o odeiam.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm {or} Song of David.] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. {before...: Heb. from his face}

2Como se impele a fumaça, assim tu os impeles; assim como a cera se derrete diante do fogo, assim pereçam os ímpios diante de Deus.

2As smoke is driven away, {so} drive {them} away: as wax melteth before the fire, {so} let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3Mas alegrem-se os justos, e se regozijem na presença de Deus, e folguem de alegria.

3But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. {exceedingly...: Heb. rejoice with gladness}

4Cantai a Deus, cantai louvores ao seu nome; louvai aquele que vai montado sobre os céus, pois o seu nome é Senhor, e exultai diante dele.

4Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

5Pai de órfãos e juiz de viúvas é Deus, no seu lugar santo.

5A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, {is} God in his holy habitation.

6Deus faz que o solitário viva em família; liberta aqueles que estão presos em grilhões; mas os rebeldes habitam em terra seca.

6God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry {land}. {in families: Heb. in a house}

7Ó Deus, quando saías diante do teu povo, quando caminhavas pelo deserto, (Selá.).

7O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

8A terra abalava-se, e os céus destilavam perante a face de Deus; até o próprio Sinai foi comovido na presença de Deus, do Deus de Israel.

8The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: {even} Sinai itself {was moved} at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9Tu, ó Deus, mandaste a chuva em abundância, confortaste a tua herança, quando estava cansada.

9Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary. {send: Heb. shake out} {confirm: Heb. confirm it}

10Nela habitava o teu rebanho; tu, ó Deus, fizeste provisão da tua bondade para o pobre.

10Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

11O Senhor deu a palavra; grande era o exército dos que anunciavam as boas novas.

11The Lord gave the word: great {was} the company of those that published {it}. {company: Heb. army}

12Reis de exércitos fugiram à pressa; e aquela que ficava em casa repartia os despojos.

12Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil. {did...: Heb. did flee, did flee}

13Ainda que vos tenhais deitado entre redis, contudo sereis como as asas duma pomba, cobertas de prata, e as suas penas, de ouro amarelo.

13Though ye have lien among the pots, {yet shall ye be as} the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

14Quando o Onipotente ali espalhou os reis, foi como a neve em Salmon.

14When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was {white} as snow in Salmon. {in it...: or, for her, she}

15O monte de Deus é como o monte de Basã, um monte elevado como o monte de Basã.

15The hill of God {is as} the hill of Bashan; an high hill {as} the hill of Bashan.

16Por que saltais, ó montes elevados? Este é o monte que Deus desejou para a sua habitação, e o Senhor habitará nele eternamente.

16Why leap ye, ye high hills? {this is} the hill {which} God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell {in it} for ever.

17Os carros de Deus são vinte milhares, milhares de milhares. O Senhor está entre eles, como em Sinai, no lugar santo.

17The chariots of God {are} twenty thousand, {even} thousands of angels: the Lord {is} among them, {as in} Sinai, in the holy {place}. {even...: or, even many thousands}

18Tu subiste ao alto, levaste cativo o cativeiro, recebeste dons para os homens, e até para os rebeldes, para que o Senhor Deus habitasse entre eles.

18Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, {for} the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell {among them}. {for men: Heb. in the man}

19Bendito seja o Senhor, que de dia em dia nos carrega de benefícios; o Deus que é a nossa salvação. (Selá.).

19Blessed {be} the Lord, {who} daily loadeth us {with benefits, even} the God of our salvation. Selah.

20O nosso Deus é o Deus da salvação; e a DEUS, o Senhor, pertencem os livramentos da morte.

20{He that is} our God {is} the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord {belong} the issues from death.

21Mas Deus ferirá gravemente a cabeça de seus inimigos e o crânio cabeludo do que anda em suas culpas.

21But God shall wound the head of his enemies, {and} the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

22Disse o Senhor: Eu os farei voltar de Basã, farei voltar o meu povo das profundezas do mar;

22The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring {my people} again from the depths of the sea:

23Para que o teu pé mergulhe no sangue de teus inimigos, e no mesmo a língua dos teus cães.

23That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of {thine} enemies, {and} the tongue of thy dogs in the same. {dipped: or, red}

24Ó Deus, eles têm visto os teus caminhos; os caminhos do meu Deus, meu Rei, no santuário.

24They have seen thy goings, O God; {even} the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25Os cantores iam adiante, os tocadores de instrumentos atrás; entre eles as donzelas tocando adufes.

25The singers went before, the players on instruments {followed} after; among {them were} the damsels playing with timbrels.

26Celebrai a Deus nas congregações; ao Senhor, desde a fonte de Israel.

26Bless ye God in the congregations, {even} the Lord, from the fountain of Israel. {from...: or, ye that are of the fountain of Israel}

27Ali está o pequeno Benjamim, que domina sobre eles, os príncipes de Judá com o seu ajuntamento, os príncipes de Zebulom e os príncipes de Naftali.

27There {is} little Benjamin {with} their ruler, the princes of Judah {and} their council, the princes of Zebulun, {and} the princes of Naphtali. {and their...: or, with their company}

28O teu Deus ordenou a tua força; fortalece, ó Deus, o que já fizeste para nós.

28Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29Por amor do teu templo em Jerusalém, os reis te trarão presentes.

29Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30Repreende asperamente as feras dos canaviais, a multidão dos touros, com os novilhos dos povos, até que cada um se submeta com peças de prata; dissipa os povos que desejam a guerra.

30Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, {till every one} submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people {that} delight in war. {the company...: or, the beasts of the reeds} {scatter...: or, he scattereth}

31Príncipes virão do Egito; a Etiópia cedo estenderá para Deus as suas mãos.

31Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

32Reinos da terra, cantai a Deus, cantai louvores ao Senhor. (Selá.)

32Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

33Àquele que vai montado sobre os céus dos céus, que existiam desde a antiguidade; eis que envia a sua voz, dá um brado veemente.

33To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, {which were} of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, {and that} a mighty voice. {send...: Heb. give}

34Atribuí a Deus fortaleza; a sua excelência está sobre Israel e a sua fortaleza nas mais altas nuvens.

34Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency {is} over Israel, and his strength {is} in the clouds. {clouds: or, heavens}

35Ó Deus, tu és tremendo desde os teus santuários; o Deus de Israel é o que dá força e poder ao seu povo. Bendito seja Deus!

35O God, {thou art} terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel {is} he that giveth strength and power unto {his} people. Blessed {be} God.
