Salmos 64

1Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha oração; guarda a minha vida do temor do inimigo.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2Esconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus, e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniqüidade.

2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

3Que afiaram as suas línguas como espadas; e armaram por suas flechas palavras amargas,

3Who whet their tongue like a sword, {and} bend {their bows to shoot} their arrows, {even} bitter words:

4A fim de atirarem em lugar oculto ao que é íntegro; disparam sobre ele repentinamente, e não temem.

4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente, e dizem: Quem os verá?

5They encourage themselves {in} an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? {matter: or, speech} {of...: Heb. to hide his snares}

6Andam inquirindo malícias, inquirem tudo o que se pode inquirir; e ambos, o íntimo pensamento de cada um deles, e o coração, são profundos.

6They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward {thought} of every one {of them}, and the heart, {is} deep. {they...: or, we are consumed by that which they have throughly searched} {a diligent...: Heb. a search searched}

7Mas Deus atirará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

7But God shall shoot at them {with} an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. {shall they...: Heb. their wound shall be}

8Assim eles farão com que as suas línguas tropecem contra si mesmos; todos aqueles que os virem, fugirão.

8So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

9E todos os homens temerão, e anunciarão a obra de Deus; e considerarão prudentemente os feitos dele.

9And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10O justo se alegrará no Senhor, e confiará nele, e todos os retos de coração se gloriarão.

10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
