Salmos 60

1Ó Deus, tu nos rejeitaste, tu nos espalhaste, tu te indignaste; oh, volta-te para nós.

1To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand.] O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. {Michtam: or, A golden Psalm} {scattered: Heb. broken}

2Abalaste a terra, e a fendeste; sara as suas fendas, pois ela treme.

2Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3Fizeste ver ao teu povo coisas árduas; fizeste-nos beber o vinho do atordoamento.

3Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4Deste um estandarte aos que te temem, para o arvorarem no alto, por causa da verdade. (Selá.)

4Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5Para que os teus amados sejam livres, salva-nos com a tua destra, e ouve-nos;

5That thy beloved may be delivered; save {with} thy right hand, and hear me.

6Deus falou na sua santidade; eu me regozijarei, repartirei a Siquém e medirei o vale de Sucote.

6God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7Meu é Gileade, e meu é Manassés; Efraim é a força da minha cabeça; Judá é o meu legislador.

7Gilead {is} mine, and Manasseh {is} mine; Ephraim also {is} the strength of mine head; Judah {is} my lawgiver;

8Moabe é a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom lançarei o meu sapato; alegra-te, ó Filístia, por minha causa.

8Moab {is} my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. {triumph...: or, triumph thou over me: (by an irony}

9Quem me conduzirá à cidade forte? Quem me guiará até Edom?.

9Who will bring me {into} the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? {strong...: Heb. city of strength?}

10Não serás tu, ó Deus, que nos tinhas rejeitado? tu, ó Deus, que não saíste com os nossos exércitos?

10{Wilt} not thou, O God, {which} hadst cast us off? and {thou}, O God, {which} didst not go out with our armies?

11Dá-nos auxílio na angústia, porque vão é o socorro do homem.

11Give us help from trouble: for vain {is} the help of man. {help of man: Heb. salvation, etc}

12Em Deus faremos proezas; porque ele é que pisará os nossos inimigos.

12Through God we shall do valiantly: for he {it is that} shall tread down our enemies.
