Salmos 46

1Deus é o nosso refúgio e fortaleza, socorro bem presente na angústia.

2Portanto não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mude, e ainda que os montes se transportem para o meio dos mares.

2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; {midst...: Heb. heart of the seas}

3Ainda que as águas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se abalem pela sua braveza. (Selá.)

3{Though} the waters thereof roar {and} be troubled, {though} the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4Há um rio cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o santuário das moradas do Altíssimo.

4{There is} a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy {place} of the tabernacles of the most High.

5Deus está no meio dela; não se abalará. Deus a ajudará, já ao romper da manhã.

5God {is} in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, {and that} right early. {and...: Heb. when the morning appeareth}

6Os gentios se embraveceram; os reinos se moveram; ele levantou a sua voz e a terra se derreteu.

6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7O Senhor dos Exércitos está conosco; o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio. (Selá.)

7The LORD of hosts {is} with us; the God of Jacob {is} our refuge. Selah. {our...: Heb. an high place for us}

8Vinde, contemplai as obras do Senhor; que desolações tem feito na terra!

8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9Ele faz cessar as guerras até ao fim da terra; quebra o arco e corta a lança; queima os carros no fogo.

9He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10Aquietai-vos, e sabei que eu sou Deus; serei exaltado entre os gentios; serei exaltado sobre a terra.

10Be still, and know that I {am} God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
