Salmos 41

1Bem-aventurado é aquele que atende ao pobre; o SENHOR o livrará no dia do mal.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] Blessed {is} he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. {the poor: or, the weak, or, sick} {in time...: Heb. in the day of evil}

2O Senhor o livrará, e o conservará em vida; será abençoado na terra, e tu não o entregarás à vontade de seus inimigos.

2The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; {and} he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. {thou...: or, do not thou deliver}

3O Senhor o sustentará no leito da enfermidade; tu o restaurarás da sua cama de doença.

3The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. {make: Heb. turn}

4Dizia eu: Senhor, tem piedade de mim; sara a minha alma, porque pequei contra ti.

4I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5Os meus inimigos falam mal de mim, dizendo: Quando morrerá ele, e perecerá o seu nome?

5Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

6E, se algum deles vem me ver, fala coisas vãs; no seu coração amontoa a maldade; saindo para fora, é disso que fala.

6And if he come to see {me}, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; {when} he goeth abroad, he telleth {it}.

7Todos os que me odeiam murmuram à uma contra mim; contra mim imaginam o mal, dizendo:

7All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt. {my...: Heb. evil to me}

8Uma doença má se lhe tem apegado; e agora que está deitado, não se levantará mais.

8An evil disease, {say they}, cleaveth fast unto him: and {now} that he lieth he shall rise up no more. {An...: Heb. A thing of Belial}

9Até o meu próprio amigo íntimo, em quem eu tanto confiava, que comia do meu pão, levantou contra mim o seu calcanhar.

9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up {his} heel against me. {mine...: Heb. the man of my peace} {lifted...: Heb. magnified}

10Porém tu, Senhor, tem piedade de mim, e levanta-me, para que eu lhes dê o pago.

10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11Por isto conheço eu que tu me favoreces: que o meu inimigo não triunfa de mim.

11By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12Quanto a mim, tu me sustentas na minha sinceridade, e me puseste diante da tua face para sempre.

12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13Bendito seja o Senhor Deus de Israel de século em século. Amém e Amém.
