Salmos 37

1NÃO te indignes por causa dos malfeitores, nem tenhas inveja dos que praticam a iniqüidade.

1{A Psalm} of David.] Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2Porque cedo serão ceifados como a erva, e murcharão como a verdura.

2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3Confia no Senhor e faze o bem; habitarás na terra, e verdadeiramente serás alimentado.

3Trust in the LORD, and do good; {so} shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. {verily: Heb. in truth, or, stableness}

4Deleita-te também no Senhor, e te concederá os desejos do teu coração.

4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5Entrega o teu caminho ao Senhor; confia nele, e ele o fará.

5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring {it} to pass. {Commit...: Heb. Roll thy way upon}

6E ele fará sobressair a tua justiça como a luz, e o teu juízo como o meio-dia.

6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7Descansa no Senhor, e espera nele; não te indignes por causa daquele que prospera em seu caminho, por causa do homem que executa astutos intentos.

7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. {Rest in: Heb. Be silent to}

8Deixa a ira, e abandona o furor; não te indignes de forma alguma para fazer o mal.

8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9Porque os malfeitores serão desarraigados; mas aqueles que esperam no Senhor herdarão a terra.

9For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10Pois ainda um pouco, e o ímpio não existirá; olharás para o seu lugar, e não aparecerá.

10For yet a little while, and the wicked {shall} not {be}: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it {shall} not {be}.

11Mas os mansos herdarão a terra, e se deleitarão na abundância de paz.

11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12O ímpio maquina contra o justo, e contra ele range os dentes.

12The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. {plotteth: or, practiseth}

13O Senhor se rirá dele, pois vê que vem chegando o seu dia.

13The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14Os ímpios puxaram da espada e armaram o arco, para derrubarem o pobre e necessitado, e para matarem os de reta conduta.

14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, {and} to slay such as be of upright conversation. {such...: Heb. the upright of way}

15Porém a sua espada lhes entrará no coração, e os seus arcos se quebrarão.

15Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16Vale mais o pouco que tem o justo, do que as riquezas de muitos ímpios.

16A little that a righteous man hath {is} better than the riches of many wicked.

17Pois os braços dos ímpios se quebrarão, mas o Senhor sustém os justos.

17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18O Senhor conhece os dias dos retos, e a sua herança permanecerá para sempre.

18The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19Não serão envergonhados nos dias maus, e nos dias de fome se fartarão.

19They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20Mas os ímpios perecerão, e os inimigos do Senhor serão como a gordura dos cordeiros; desaparecerão, e em fumaça se desfarão.

20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD {shall be} as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. {the fat: Heb. the preciousness}

21O ímpio toma emprestado, e não paga; mas o justo se compadece e dá.

21The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22Porque aqueles que ele abençoa herdarão a terra, e aqueles que forem por ele amaldiçoados serão desarraigados.

22For {such as be} blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and {they that be} cursed of him shall be cut off.

23Os passos de um homem bom são confirmados pelo Senhor, e deleita-se no seu caminho.

23The steps of a {good} man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. {ordered: or, established}

24Ainda que caia, não ficará prostrado, pois o Senhor o sustém com a sua mão.

24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth {him with} his hand.

25Fui moço, e agora sou velho; mas nunca vi desamparado o justo, nem a sua semente a mendigar o pão.

25I have been young, and {now} am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26Compadece-se sempre, e empresta, e a sua semente é abençoada.

26{He is} ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed {is} blessed. {ever: Heb. all the day}

27Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem; e terás morada para sempre.

27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28Porque o Senhor ama o juízo e não desampara os seus santos; eles são preservados para sempre; mas a semente dos ímpios será desarraigada.

28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29Os justos herdarão a terra e habitarão nela para sempre.

29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30A boca do justo fala a sabedoria; a sua língua fala do juízo.

30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31A lei do seu Deus está em seu coração; os seus passos não resvalarão.

31The law of his God {is} in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. {steps: or, goings}

32O ímpio espreita ao justo, e procura matá-lo.

32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33O Senhor não o deixará em suas mãos, nem o condenará quando for julgado.

33The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34Espera no Senhor, e guarda o seu caminho, e te exaltará para herdares a terra; tu o verás quando os ímpios forem desarraigados.

34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see {it}.

35Vi o ímpio com grande poder espalhar-se como a árvore verde na terra natal.

35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. {a green...: or, a green tree that groweth in his own soil}

36Mas passou e já não aparece; procurei-o, mas não se pôde encontrar.

36Yet he passed away, and, lo, he {was} not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37Nota o homem sincero, e considera o reto, porque o fim desse homem é a paz.

37Mark the perfect {man}, and behold the upright: for the end of {that} man {is} peace.

38Quanto aos transgressores, serão à uma destruídos, e as relíquias dos ímpios serão destruídas.

38But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39Mas a salvação dos justos vem do Senhor; ele é a sua fortaleza no tempo da angústia.

39But the salvation of the righteous {is} of the LORD: {he is} their strength in the time of trouble.

40E o Senhor os ajudará e os livrará; ele os livrará dos ímpios e os salvará, porquanto confiam nele.

40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
