Salmos 36

1A transgressão do ímpio diz no íntimo do meu coração: Não há temor de Deus perante os seus olhos.

1To the chief Musician, {A Psalm} of David the servant of the LORD.] The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, {that there is} no fear of God before his eyes.

2Porque em seus olhos se lisonjeia, até que a sua iniqüidade se descubra ser detestável.

2For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. {until...: Heb. to find his iniquity to hate}

3As palavras da sua boca são malícia e engano; deixou de entender e de fazer o bem.

3The words of his mouth {are} iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, {and} to do good.

4Projeta a malícia na sua cama; põe-se no caminho que não é bom; não aborrece o mal.

4He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way {that is} not good; he abhorreth not evil. {mischief: or, vanity}

5A tua misericórdia, Senhor, está nos céus, e a tua fidelidade chega até às mais excelsas nuvens.

5Thy mercy, O LORD, {is} in the heavens; {and} thy faithfulness {reacheth} unto the clouds.

6A tua justiça é como as grandes montanhas; os teus juízos são um grande abismo. Senhor, tu conservas os homens e os animais.

6Thy righteousness {is} like the great mountains; thy judgments {are} a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. {the...: Heb. the mountains of God}

7Quão preciosa é, ó Deus, a tua benignidade, pelo que os filhos dos homens se abrigam à sombra das tuas asas.

7How excellent {is} thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. {excellent: Heb. precious}

8Eles se fartarão da gordura da tua casa, e os farás beber da corrente das tuas delícias;

8They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. {abundantly...: Heb. watered}

9Porque em ti está o manancial da vida; na tua luz veremos a luz.

9For with thee {is} the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

10Estende a tua benignidade sobre os que te conhecem, e a tua justiça sobre os retos de coração.

10O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. {continue: Heb. draw out at length}

11Não venha sobre mim o pé dos soberbos, e não me mova a mão dos ímpios.

11Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12Ali caem os que praticam a iniqüidade; cairão, e não se poderão levantar.

12There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
