Salmos 35

1Pleiteia, SENHOR, com aqueles que pleiteiam comigo; peleja contra os que pelejam contra mim.

1{A Psalm} of David.] Plead {my cause}, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

2Pega do escudo e da rodela, e levanta-te em minha ajuda.

2Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

3Tira da lança e obstrui o caminho aos que me perseguem; dize à minha alma: Eu sou a tua salvação.

3Draw out also the spear, and stop {the way} against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I {am} thy salvation.

4Sejam confundidos e envergonhados os que buscam a minha vida; voltem atrás e envergonhem-se os que contra mim tentam mal.

4Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

5Sejam como a moinha perante o vento; o anjo do Senhor os faça fugir.

5Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase {them}.

6Seja o seu caminho tenebroso e escorregadio, e o anjo do Senhor os persiga.

6Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. {dark...: Heb. darkness and slipperiness}

7Porque sem causa encobriram de mim a rede na cova, a qual sem razão cavaram para a minha alma.

7For without cause have they hid for me their net {in} a pit, {which} without cause they have digged for my soul.

8Sobrevenha-lhe destruição sem o saber, e prenda-o a rede que ocultou; caia ele nessa mesma destruição.

8Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. {at...: Heb. which he knoweth not of}

9E a minha alma se alegrará no Senhor; alegrar-se-á na sua salvação.

9And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

10Todos os meus ossos dirão: Senhor, quem é como tu, que livras o pobre daquele que é mais forte do que ele? Sim, o pobre e o necessitado daquele que o rouba.

10All my bones shall say, LORD, who {is} like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

11Falsas testemunhas se levantaram; depuseram contra mim coisas que eu não sabia.

11False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge {things} that I knew not. {False...: Heb. Witnesses of wrong} {they...: Heb. they asked me}

12Tornaram-me o mal pelo bem, roubando a minha alma.

12They rewarded me evil for good {to} the spoiling of my soul. {spoiling: Heb. depriving}

13Mas, quanto a mim, quando estavam enfermos, as minhas vestes eram o saco; humilhava a minha alma com o jejum, e a minha oração voltava para o meu seio.

13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing {was} sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. {humbled: or, afflicted}

14Portava-me como se ele fora meu irmão ou amigo; andava lamentando e muito encurvado, como quem chora por sua mãe.

14I behaved myself as though {he had been} my friend {or} brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth {for his} mother. {behaved myself: Heb. walked} {as though...: Heb. as a friend, as a brother to me}

15Mas eles com a minha adversidade se alegravam e se congregavam; os abjetos se congregavam contra mim, e eu não o sabia; rasgavam-me, e não cessavam.

15But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: {yea}, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew {it} not; they did tear {me}, and ceased not: {adversity: Heb. halting}

16Com hipócritas zombadores nas festas, rangiam os dentes contra mim.

16With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

17Senhor, até quando verás isto? Resgata a minha alma das suas assolações, e a minha predileta dos leões.

17Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. {darling: Heb. only one}

18Louvar-te-ei na grande congregação; entre muitíssimo povo te celebrarei.

18I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. {much: Heb. strong}

19Não se alegrem os meus inimigos de mim sem razão, nem acenem com os olhos aqueles que me odeiam sem causa.

19Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: {neither} let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. {wrongfully: Heb. falsely}

20Pois não falam de paz; antes projetam enganar os quietos da terra.

20For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against {them that are} quiet in the land.

21Abrem a boca de par em par contra mim, e dizem: Ah! Ah! os nossos olhos o viram.

21Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, {and} said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen {it}.

22Tu, Senhor, o tens visto, não te cales; Senhor, não te alongues de mim:

22{This} thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

23Desperta e acorda para o meu julgamento, para a minha causa, Deus meu e Senhor meu.

23Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, {even} unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

24Julga-me segundo a tua justiça, Senhor Deus meu, e não deixes que se alegrem de mim.

24Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

25Não digam em seus corações: Ah! alma nossa! Não digam: Nós o havemos devorado.

25Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. {Ah...: Heb. Ah, ah, our soul}

26Envergonhem-se e confundam-se à uma os que se alegram com o meu mal; vistam-se de vergonha e de confusão os que se engrandecem contra mim.

26Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify {themselves} against me.

27Cantem e alegrem-se os que amam a minha justiça, e digam continuamente: O Senhor seja engrandecido, o qual ama a prosperidade do seu servo.

27Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. {righteous...: Heb. righteousness}

28E assim a minha língua falará da tua justiça e do teu louvor todo o dia.

28And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness {and} of thy praise all the day long.
