Salmos 3

1Senhor, como se têm multiplicado os meus adversários! São muitos os que se levantam contra mim.

1A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.] LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many {are} they that rise up against me.

2Muitos dizem da minha alma: Não há salvação para ele em Deus. (Selá.)

2Many {there be} which say of my soul, {There is} no help for him in God. Selah.

3Porém tu, Senhor, és um escudo para mim, a minha glória, e o que exalta a minha cabeça.

3But thou, O LORD, {art} a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. {for: or, about}

4Com a minha voz clamei ao Senhor, e ouviu-me desde o seu santo monte. (Selá.)

4I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5Eu me deitei e dormi; acordei, porque o Senhor me sustentou.

5I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

6Não temerei dez milhares de pessoas que se puseram contra mim e me cercam.

6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set {themselves} against me round about.

7Levanta-te, Senhor; salva-me, Deus meu; pois feriste a todos os meus inimigos nos queixos; quebraste os dentes aos ímpios.

7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies {upon} the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8A salvação vem do Senhor; sobre o teu povo seja a tua bênção. (Selá.)

8Salvation {belongeth} unto the LORD: thy blessing {is} upon thy people. Selah.
