Salmos 25

1A ti, SENHOR, levanto a minha alma.

1{A Psalm} of David.] Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

2Deus meu, em ti confio, não me deixes confundido, nem que os meus inimigos triunfem sobre mim.

2O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3Na verdade, não serão confundidos os que esperam em ti; confundidos serão os que transgridem sem causa.

3Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

4Faze-me saber os teus caminhos, Senhor; ensina-me as tuas veredas.

4Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

5Guia-me na tua verdade, e ensina-me, pois tu és o Deus da minha salvação; por ti estou esperando todo o dia.

5Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou {art} the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

6Lembra-te, Senhor, das tuas misericórdias e das tuas benignidades, porque são desde a eternidade.

6Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they {have been} ever of old. {tender...: Heb. bowels}

7Não te lembres dos pecados da minha mocidade, nem das minhas transgressões; mas segundo a tua misericórdia, lembra-te de mim, por tua bondade, Senhor.

7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

8Bom e reto é o Senhor; por isso ensinará o caminho aos pecadores.

8Good and upright {is} the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

9Guiará os mansos em justiça e aos mansos ensinará o seu caminho.

9The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10Todas as veredas do Senhor são misericórdia e verdade para aqueles que guardam a sua aliança e os seus testemunhos.

10All the paths of the LORD {are} mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11Por amor do teu nome, Senhor, perdoa a minha iniqüidade, pois é grande.

11For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it {is} great.

12Qual é o homem que teme ao Senhor? Ele o ensinará no caminho que deve escolher.

12What man {is} he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way {that} he shall choose.

13A sua alma pousará no bem, e a sua semente herdará a terra.

13His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. {dwell...: Heb. lodge in goodness}

14O segredo do Senhor é com aqueles que o temem; e ele lhes mostrará a sua aliança.

14The secret of the LORD {is} with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. {and...: or, and his covenant to make them know it}

15Os meus olhos estão continuamente no Senhor, pois ele tirará os meus pés da rede.

15Mine eyes {are} ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. {pluck: Heb. bring forth}

16Olha para mim, e tem piedade de mim, porque estou solitário e aflito.

16Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I {am} desolate and afflicted.

17As ânsias do meu coração se têm multiplicado; tira-me dos meus apertos.

17The troubles of my heart are enlarged: {O} bring thou me out of my distresses.

18Olha para a minha aflição e para a minha dor, e perdoa todos os meus pecados.

18Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19Olha para os meus inimigos, pois se vão multiplicando e me odeiam com ódio cruel.

19Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. {cruel...: Heb. hatred of violence}

20Guarda a minha alma, e livra-me; não me deixes confundido, porquanto confio em ti.

20O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21Guardem-me a sinceridade e a retidão, porquanto espero em ti.

21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22Redime, ó Deus, a Israel de todas as suas angústias.

22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
