Salmos 20

1O SENHOR te ouça no dia da angústia, o nome do Deus de Jacó te proteja.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; {defend...: Heb. set thee on an high place}

2Envie-te socorro desde o seu santuário, e te sustenha desde Sião.

2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; {thee help: Heb. thy help} {strengthen: Heb. support}

3Lembre-se de todas as tuas ofertas, e aceite os teus holocaustos. (Selá.)

3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. {accept: Heb. turn to ashes: or, make fat}

4Conceda-te conforme ao teu coração, e cumpra todo o teu plano.

4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

5Nós nos alegraremos pela tua salvação, e em nome do nosso Deus arvoraremos pendões; cumpra o Senhor todas as tuas petições.

5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up {our} banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

6Agora sei que o Senhor salva o seu ungido; ele o ouvirá desde o seu santo céu, com a força salvadora da sua mão direita.

6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. {his holy...: Heb. the heaven of his holiness} {with...: Heb. by the strength of the salvation of}

7Uns confiam em carros e outros em cavalos, mas nós faremos menção do nome do Senhor nosso Deus.

7Some {trust} in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

8Uns encurvam-se e caem, mas nós nos levantamos e estamos de pé.

8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9Salva-nos, Senhor; ouça-nos o rei quando clamarmos.

9Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
