Salmos 143

1Ó Senhor, ouve a minha oração, inclina os ouvidos às minhas súplicas; escuta-me segundo a tua verdade, e segundo a tua justiça.

1A Psalm of David.] Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, {and} in thy righteousness.

2E não entres em juízo com o teu servo, porque à tua vista não se achará justo nenhum vivente.

2And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

3Pois o inimigo perseguiu a minha alma; atropelou-me até ao chão; fez-me habitar na escuridão, como aqueles que morreram há muito.

3For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

4Pois que o meu espírito se angustia em mim; e o meu coração em mim está desolado.

4Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

5Lembro-me dos dias antigos; considero todos os teus feitos; medito na obra das tuas mãos.

5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

6Estendo para ti as minhas mãos; a minha alma tem sede de ti, como terra sedenta. (Selá.)

6I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul {thirsteth} after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

7Ouve-me depressa, ó Senhor; o meu espírito desmaia. Não escondas de mim a tua face, para que não seja semelhante aos que descem à cova.

7Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. {lest...: or, for I am become like, etc}

8Faze-me ouvir a tua benignidade pela manhã, pois em ti confio; faze-me saber o caminho que devo seguir, porque a ti levanto a minha alma.

8Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

9Livra-me, ó Senhor, dos meus inimigos; fujo para ti, para me esconder.

9Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. {flee...: Heb. hide me with thee}

10Ensina-me a fazer a tua vontade, pois és o meu Deus. O teu Espírito é bom; guie-me por terra plana.

10Teach me to do thy will; for thou {art} my God: thy spirit {is} good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11Vivifica-me, ó Senhor, por amor do teu nome; por amor da tua justiça, tira a minha alma da angústia.

11Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12E por tua misericórdia desarraiga os meus inimigos, e destrói a todos os que angustiam a minha alma; pois sou teu servo.

12And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I {am} thy servant.
