1Muitas vezes me angustiaram desde a minha mocidade, diga agora Israel;

3Os lavradores araram sobre as minhas costas; compridos fizeram os seus sulcos.

3The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4O Senhor é justo; cortou as cordas dos ímpios.

4The LORD {is} righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5Sejam confundidos, e voltem para trás todos os que odeiam a Sião.

5Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6Sejam como a erva dos telhados que se seca antes que a arranquem.

6Let them be as the grass {upon} the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7Com a qual o segador não enche a sua mão, nem o que ata os feixes enche o seu braço.

7Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8Nem tampouco os que passam dizem: A bênção do Senhor seja sobre vós; nós vos abençoamos em nome do Senhor.

8Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD {be} upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
