Salmos 118

1Louvai ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom, porque a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

1O give thanks unto the LORD; for {he is} good: because his mercy {endureth} for ever.

2Diga agora Israel que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

2Let Israel now say, that his mercy {endureth} for ever.

3Diga agora a casa de Arão que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

3Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy {endureth} for ever.

4Digam agora os que temem ao Senhor que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

4Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy {endureth} for ever.

5Invoquei o Senhor na angústia; o Senhor me ouviu, e me tirou para um lugar largo.

5I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, {and set me} in a large place. {in distress: Heb. out of distress}

6O Senhor está comigo; não temerei o que me pode fazer o homem.

6The LORD {is} on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? {on...: Heb. for me}

7O Senhor está comigo entre aqueles que me ajudam; por isso verei cumprido o meu desejo sobre os que me odeiam.

7The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see {my desire} upon them that hate me.

8É melhor confiar no Senhor do que confiar no homem.

8{It is} better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

9É melhor confiar no Senhor do que confiar nos príncipes.

9{It is} better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

10Todas as nações me cercaram, mas no nome do Senhor as despedaçarei.

10All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. {destroy...: Heb. cut them off}

11Cercaram-me, e tornaram a cercar-me; mas no nome do Senhor eu as despedaçarei.

11They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

12Cercaram-me como abelhas; porém apagaram-se como o fogo de espinhos; pois no nome do Senhor as despedaçarei.

12They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. {destroy: Heb. cut down}

13Com força me impeliste para me fazeres cair, porém o Senhor me ajudou.

13Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

14O Senhor é a minha força e o meu cântico; e se fez a minha salvação.

14The LORD {is} my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15Nas tendas dos justos há voz de júbilo e de salvação; a destra do Senhor faz proezas.

15The voice of rejoicing and salvation {is} in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

16A destra do Senhor se exalta; a destra do Senhor faz proezas.

16The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

17Não morrerei, mas viverei; e contarei as obras do Senhor.

17I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

18O Senhor me castigou muito, mas não me entregou à morte.

18The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19Abri-me as portas da justiça; entrarei por elas, e louvarei ao Senhor.

19Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, {and} I will praise the LORD:

20Esta é a porta do Senhor, pela qual os justos entrarão.

20This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

21Louvar-te-ei, pois me escutaste, e te fizeste a minha salvação.

21I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram tornou-se a cabeça da esquina.

22The stone {which} the builders refused is become the head {stone} of the corner.

23Da parte do Senhor se fez isto; maravilhoso é aos nossos olhos.

23This is the LORD'S doing; it {is} marvellous in our eyes. {the LORD's...: Heb. from the LORD}

24Este é o dia que fez o Senhor; regozijemo-nos, e alegremo-nos nele.

24This {is} the day {which} the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25Salva-nos, agora, te pedimos, ó Senhor; ó Senhor, te pedimos, prospera-nos.

25Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26Bendito aquele que vem em nome do Senhor; nós vos bendizemos desde a casa do Senhor.

26Blessed {be} he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27Deus é o Senhor que nos mostrou a luz; atai a vítima da festa com cordas, até às pontas do altar.

27God {is} the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, {even} unto the horns of the altar.

28Tu és o meu Deus, e eu te louvarei; tu és o meu Deus, e eu te exaltarei.

28Thou {art} my God, and I will praise thee: {thou art} my God, I will exalt thee.
