Salmos 116

1Amo ao SENHOR, porque ele ouviu a minha voz e a minha súplica.

1I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice {and} my supplications.

2Porque inclinou a mim os seus ouvidos; portanto, o invocarei enquanto viver.

2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon {him} as long as I live. {as long...: Heb. in my days}

3Os cordéis da morte me cercaram, e angústias do inferno se apoderaram de mim; encontrei aperto e tristeza.

3The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. {gat...: Heb. found me}

4Então invoquei o nome do Senhor, dizendo: Ó Senhor, livra a minha alma.

4Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5Piedoso é o Senhor e justo; o nosso Deus tem misericórdia.

5Gracious {is} the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God {is} merciful.

6O Senhor guarda aos símplices; fui abatido, mas ele me livrou.

6The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7Volta, minha alma, para o teu repouso, pois o Senhor te fez bem.

7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8Porque tu livraste a minha alma da morte, os meus olhos das lágrimas, e os meus pés da queda.

8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, {and} my feet from falling.

9Andarei perante a face do Senhor na terra dos viventes.

9I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10Cri, por isso falei. Estive muito aflito.

10I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11Dizia na minha pressa: Todos os homens são mentirosos.

11I said in my haste, All men {are} liars.

12Que darei eu ao Senhor, por todos os benefícios que me tem feito?

12What shall I render unto the LORD {for} all his benefits toward me?

13Tomarei o cálice da salvação, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

13I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

14Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, agora, na presença de todo o seu povo.

14I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

15Preciosa é à vista do Senhor a morte dos seus santos.

15Precious in the sight of the LORD {is} the death of his saints.

16Ó Senhor, deveras sou teu servo; sou teu servo, filho da tua serva; soltaste as minhas ataduras.

16O LORD, truly I {am} thy servant; I {am} thy servant, {and} the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17Oferecer-te-ei sacrifícios de louvor, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

18Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, na presença de todo o meu povo,

18I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

19Nos átrios da casa do Senhor, no meio de ti, ó Jerusalém. Louvai ao Senhor.

19In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
