1Louvai ao SENHOR. Louvai, servos do SENHOR, louvai o nome do SENHOR.

1Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. {Praise ye...: Heb. Hallelujah}

2Seja bendito o nome do Senhor, desde agora para sempre.

2Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

3Desde o nascimento do sol até ao ocaso, seja louvado o nome do Senhor.

3From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name {is} to be praised.

4Exaltado está o Senhor acima de todas as nações, e a sua glória sobre os céus.

4The LORD {is} high above all nations, {and} his glory above the heavens.

5Quem é como o Senhor nosso Deus, que habita nas alturas?

5Who {is} like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, {dwelleth...: Heb. exalteth himself to dwell}

6O qual se inclina, para ver o que está nos céus e na terra!

6Who humbleth {himself} to behold {the things that are} in heaven, and in the earth!

7Levanta o pobre do pó e do monturo levanta o necessitado,

7He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, {and} lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8Para o fazer assentar com os príncipes, mesmo com os príncipes do seu povo.

8That he may set {him} with princes, {even} with the princes of his people.

9Faz com que a mulher estéril habite em casa, e seja alegre mãe de filhos. Louvai ao Senhor.

9He maketh the barren woman to keep house, {and to be} a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD. {to keep...: Heb. to dwell in an house}
