Salmos 107

1Louvai ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom, porque a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

1O give thanks unto the LORD, for {he is} good: for his mercy {endureth} for ever.

2Digam-no os remidos do Senhor, os que remiu da mão do inimigo,

2Let the redeemed of the LORD say {so}, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

3E os que congregou das terras do oriente e do ocidente, do norte e do sul.

3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. {south: Heb. sea}

4Andaram desgarrados pelo deserto, por caminhos solitários; não acharam cidade para habitarem.

4They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

5Famintos e sedentos, a sua alma neles desfalecia.

5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6E clamaram ao Senhor na sua angústia, e os livrou das suas dificuldades.

6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, {and} he delivered them out of their distresses.

7E os levou por caminho direito, para irem a uma cidade de habitação.

7And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

8Louvem ao Senhor pela sua bondade, e pelas suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens.

8Oh that {men} would praise the LORD {for} his goodness, and {for} his wonderful works to the children of men!

9Pois fartou a alma sedenta, e encheu de bens a alma faminta.

9For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

10Tal como a que se assenta nas trevas e sombra da morte, presa em aflição e em ferro;

10Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, {being} bound in affliction and iron;

11Porquanto se rebelaram contra as palavras de Deus, e desprezaram o conselho do Altíssimo.

11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

12Portanto, lhes abateu o coração com trabalho; tropeçaram, e não houve quem os ajudasse.

12Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and {there was} none to help.

13Então clamaram ao Senhor na sua angústia, e os livrou das suas dificuldades.

13Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, {and} he saved them out of their distresses.

14Tirou-os das trevas e sombra da morte; e quebrou as suas prisões.

14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

15Louvem ao Senhor pela sua bondade, e pelas suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens.

15Oh that {men} would praise the LORD {for} his goodness, and {for} his wonderful works to the children of men!

16Pois quebrou as portas de bronze, e despedaçou os ferrolhos de ferro.

16For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

17Os loucos, por causa da sua transgressão, e por causa das suas iniqüidades, são aflitos.

17Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

18A sua alma aborreceu toda a comida, e chegaram até às portas da morte.

18Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

19Então clamaram ao Senhor na sua angústia, e ele os livrou das suas dificuldades.

19Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, {and} he saveth them out of their distresses.

20Enviou a sua palavra, e os sarou; e os livrou da sua destruição.

20He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered {them} from their destructions.

21Louvem ao Senhor pela sua bondade, e pelas suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens.

21Oh that {men} would praise the LORD {for} his goodness, and {for} his wonderful works to the children of men!

22E ofereçam os sacrifícios de louvor, e relatem as suas obras com regozijo.

22And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. {rejoicing: Heb. singing}

23Os que descem ao mar em navios, mercando nas grandes águas.

23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

24Esses vêem as obras do Senhor, e as suas maravilhas no profundo.

24These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

25Pois ele manda, e se levanta o vento tempestuoso que eleva as suas ondas.

25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. {raiseth: Heb. maketh to stand}

26Sobem aos céus; descem aos abismos, e a sua alma se derrete em angústias.

26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

27Andam e cambaleiam como ébrios, e perderam todo o tino.

27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. {are...: Heb. all their wisdom is swallowed up}

28Então clamam ao Senhor na sua angústia; e ele os livra das suas dificuldades.

28Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29Faz cessar a tormenta, e acalmam-se as suas ondas.

29He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

30Então se alegram, porque se aquietaram; assim os leva ao seu porto desejado.

30Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31Louvem ao Senhor pela sua bondade, e pelas suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens.

31Oh that {men} would praise the LORD {for} his goodness, and {for} his wonderful works to the children of men!

32Exaltem-no na congregação do povo, e glorifiquem-no na assembléia dos anciãos.

32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

33Ele converte os rios em um deserto, e as fontes em terra sedenta;

33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

34A terra frutífera em estéril, pela maldade dos que nela habitam.

34A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. {barrenness: Heb. saltiness}

35Converte o deserto em lagoa, e a terra seca em fontes.

35He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

36E faz habitar ali os famintos, para que edifiquem cidade para habitação;

36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

37E semeiam os campos e plantam vinhas, que produzem fruto abundante.

37And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

38Também os abençoa, de modo que se multiplicam muito; e o seu gado não diminui.

38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39Depois se diminuem e se abatem, pela opressão, e aflição e tristeza.

39Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

40Derrama o desprezo sobre os príncipes, e os faz andar desgarrados pelo deserto, onde não há caminho.

40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, {where there is} no way. {wilderness: or, void place}

41Porém livra ao necessitado da opressão, em um lugar alto, e multiplica as famílias como rebanhos.

41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh {him} families like a flock. {from: or, after}

42Os retos o verão, e se alegrarão, e toda a iniqüidade tapará a boca.

42The righteous shall see {it}, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

43Quem é sábio observará estas coisas, e eles compreenderão as benignidades do Senhor.

43Whoso {is} wise, and will observe these {things}, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
