Salmos 105

1Louvai ao SENHOR, e invocai o seu nome; fazei conhecidas as suas obras entre os povos.

1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

2Cantai-lhe, cantai-lhe salmos; falai de todas as suas maravilhas.

2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

3Gloriai-vos no seu santo nome; alegre-se o coração daqueles que buscam ao Senhor.

3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

4Buscai ao Senhor e a sua força; buscai a sua face continuamente.

4Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

5Lembrai-vos das maravilhas que fez, dos seus prodígios e dos juízos da sua boca;

5Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

6Vós, semente de Abraão, seu servo, vós, filhos de Jacó, seus escolhidos.

6O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

7Ele é o Senhor nosso Deus; os seus juízos estão em toda a terra.

7He {is} the LORD our God: his judgments {are} in all the earth.

8Lembrou-se da sua aliança para sempre, da palavra que mandou a milhares de gerações.

8He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word {which} he commanded to a thousand generations.

9A qual aliança fez com Abraão, e o seu juramento a Isaque.

9Which {covenant} he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10E confirmou o mesmo a Jacó por lei, e a Israel por aliança eterna,

10And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, {and} to Israel {for} an everlasting covenant:

11Dizendo: A ti darei a terra de Canaã, a região da vossa herança.

11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: {lot: Heb. cord}

12Quando eram poucos homens em número, sim, mui poucos, e estrangeiros nela;

12When they were {but} a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13Quando andavam de nação em nação e dum reino para outro povo;

13When they went from one nation to another, from {one} kingdom to another people;

14Não permitiu a ninguém que os oprimisse, e por amor deles repreendeu a reis, dizendo:

14He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15Não toqueis os meus ungidos, e não maltrateis os meus profetas.

15{Saying}, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16Chamou a fome sobre a terra, quebrantou todo o sustento do pão.

16Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17Mandou perante eles um homem, José, que foi vendido por escravo;

17He sent a man before them, {even} Joseph, {who} was sold for a servant:

18Cujos pés apertaram com grilhões; foi posto em ferros;

18Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: {he...: Heb. his soul came into iron}

19Até ao tempo em que chegou a sua palavra; a palavra do Senhor o provou.

19Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

20Mandou o rei, e o fez soltar; o governador dos povos, e o soltou.

20The king sent and loosed him; {even} the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21Fê-lo senhor da sua casa, e governador de toda a sua fazenda;

21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: {substance: Heb. possession}

22Para sujeitar os seus príncipes a seu gosto, e instruir os seus anciãos.

22To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23Então Israel entrou no Egito, e Jacó peregrinou na terra de Cão.

23Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24E aumentou o seu povo em grande maneira, e o fez mais poderoso do que os seus inimigos.

24And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25Virou o coração deles para que odiassem o seu povo, para que tratassem astutamente aos seus servos.

25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26Enviou Moisés, seu servo, e Arão, a quem escolhera.

26He sent Moses his servant; {and} Aaron whom he had chosen.

27Mostraram entre eles os seus sinais e prodígios, na terra de Cão.

27They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. {his...: Heb. words of his signs}

28Mandou trevas, e a fez escurecer; e não foram rebeldes à sua palavra.

28He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

29Converteu as suas águas em sangue, e matou os seus peixes.

29He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30A sua terra produziu rãs em abundância, até nas câmaras dos seus reis.

30Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31Falou ele, e vieram enxames de moscas e piolhos em todo o seu termo.

31He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, {and} lice in all their coasts.

32Converteu as suas chuvas em saraiva, e fogo abrasador na sua terra.

32He gave them hail for rain, {and} flaming fire in their land. {them...: Heb. their rain hail}

33Feriu as suas vinhas e os seus figueirais, e quebrou as árvores dos seus termos.

33He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34Falou ele e vieram gafanhotos e pulgão sem número.

34He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35E comeram toda a erva da sua terra, e devoraram o fruto dos seus campos.

35And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36Feriu também a todos os primogênitos da sua terra, as primícias de todas as suas forças.

36He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37E tirou-os para fora com prata e ouro, e entre as suas tribos não houve um só fraco.

37He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and {there was} not one feeble {person} among their tribes.

38O Egito se alegrou quando eles saíram, porque o seu temor caíra sobre eles.

38Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39Estendeu uma nuvem por coberta, e um fogo para iluminar de noite.

39He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40Oraram, e ele fez vir codornizes, e os fartou de pão do céu.

40{The people} asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41Abriu a penha, e dela correram águas; correram pelos lugares secos, como um rio.

41He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places {like} a river.

42Porque se lembrou da sua santa palavra, e de Abraão, seu servo.

42For he remembered his holy promise, {and} Abraham his servant.

43E tirou dali o seu povo com alegria, e os seus escolhidos com regozijo.

43And he brought forth his people with joy, {and} his chosen with gladness: {gladness: Heb. singing}

44E deu-lhes as terras dos gentios; e herdaram o trabalho dos povos;

44And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45Para que guardassem os seus preceitos, e observassem as suas leis. Louvai ao Senhor.

45That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD. {Praise...: Heb. Hallelujah}
