Salmos 104

1Bendize, ó minha alma, ao SENHOR! SENHOR Deus meu, tu és magnificentíssimo; estás vestido de glória e de majestade.

1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2Ele se cobre de luz como de um vestido, estende os céus como uma cortina.

2Who coverest {thyself} with light as {with} a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

3Põe nas águas as vigas das suas câmaras; faz das nuvens o seu carro, anda sobre as asas do vento.

3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

4Faz dos seus anjos espíritos, dos seus ministros um fogo abrasador.

4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

5Lançou os fundamentos da terra; ela não vacilará em tempo algum.

5{Who} laid the foundations of the earth, {that} it should not be removed for ever. {Who...: Heb. He hath founded the earth upon her bases}

6Tu a cobriste com o abismo, como com um vestido; as águas estavam sobre os montes.

6Thou coveredst it with the deep as {with} a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

7À tua repreensão fugiram; à voz do teu trovão se apressaram.

7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

8Subiram aos montes, desceram aos vales, até ao lugar que para elas fundaste.

8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. {They go up...: or, The mountains ascend, the valleys descend}

9Termo lhes puseste, que não ultrapassarão, para que não tornem mais a cobrir a terra.

9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

10Tu, que fazes sair as fontes nos vales, as quais correm entre os montes.

10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, {which} run among the hills. {He: Heb. Who} {run: Heb. walk}

11Dão de beber a todo o animal do campo; os jumentos monteses matam a sua sede.

11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. {quench: Heb. break}

12Junto delas as aves do céu terão a sua habitação, cantando entre os ramos.

12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, {which} sing among the branches. {sing: Heb. give a voice}

13Ele rega os montes desde as suas câmaras; a terra farta-se do fruto das suas obras.

13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14Faz crescer a erva para o gado, e a verdura para o serviço do homem, para fazer sair da terra o pão,

14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15E o vinho que alegra o coração do homem, e o azeite que faz reluzir o seu rosto, e o pão que fortalece o coração do homem.

15And wine {that} maketh glad the heart of man, {and} oil to make {his} face to shine, and bread {which} strengtheneth man's heart. {oil...: Heb. to make his face shine with oil, or, more than oil}

16As árvores do Senhor fartam-se de seiva, os cedros do Líbano que ele plantou,

16The trees of the LORD are full {of sap}; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

17Onde as aves se aninham; quanto à cegonha, a sua casa é nas faias.

17Where the birds make their nests: {as for} the stork, the fir trees {are} her house.

18Os altos montes são para as cabras monteses, e os rochedos são refúgio para os coelhos.

18The high hills {are} a refuge for the wild goats; {and} the rocks for the conies.

19Designou a lua para as estações; o sol conhece o seu ocaso.

19He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

20Ordenas a escuridão, e faz-se noite, na qual saem todos os animais da selva.

20Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep {forth}. {beasts...: Heb. beasts thereof do trample on the forest}

21Os leõezinhos bramam pela presa, e de Deus buscam o seu sustento.

21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

22Nasce o sol e logo se acolhem, e se deitam nos seus covis.

22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23Então sai o homem à sua obra e ao seu trabalho, até à tarde.

23Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

24Ó Senhor, quão variadas são as tuas obras! Todas as coisas fizeste com sabedoria; cheia está a terra das tuas riquezas.

24O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25Assim é este mar grande e muito espaçoso, onde há seres sem número, animais pequenos e grandes.

25{So is} this great and wide sea, wherein {are} things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26Ali andam os navios; e o leviatã que formaste para nele folgar.

26There go the ships: {there is} that leviathan, {whom} thou hast made to play therein. {made: Heb. formed}

27Todos esperam de ti, que lhes dês o seu sustento em tempo oportuno.

27These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give {them} their meat in due season.

28Dando-lho tu, eles o recolhem; abres a tua mão, e se enchem de bens.

28{That} thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

29Escondes o teu rosto, e ficam perturbados; se lhes tiras o fôlego, morrem, e voltam para o seu pó.

29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

30Envias o teu Espírito, e são criados, e assim renovas a face da terra.

30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31A glória do Senhor durará para sempre; o Senhor se alegrará nas suas obras.

31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works. {endure: Heb. be}

32Olhando ele para a terra, ela treme; tocando nos montes, logo fumegam.

32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33Cantarei ao Senhor enquanto eu viver; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus, enquanto eu tiver existência.

33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34A minha meditação acerca dele será suave; eu me alegrarei no Senhor.

34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

35Desapareçam da terra os pecadores, e os ímpios não sejam mais. Bendize, ó minha alma, ao Senhor. Louvai ao Senhor.

35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
