1Que adianta morrer, alma, e não bendizer o Senhor? Um novo hino entoai a Deus.

1Why do you die, soul, and not bless the Lord? Sing a new hymn to God.

2Canta, pois despertei ao teu despertar; porque o bom salmo a Deus provém de um bom coração.

2Sing, for I have awakened at your awakening; because the good psalm to God comes from a good heart.

3Em tudo os justos lembram do Senhor, ao confessar e reconhecer os juízos de Deus.

3In all things the righteous remember the Lord, confessing and acknowledging the judgments of God.

4O justo que está sob a disciplina do Senhor andará prudentemente.

4The righteous one who is under the discipline of the Lord will walk prudently.

5O justo tropeçou e reconheceu o Senhor; prostrou-se e admira o que Deus lhe faz.

5The righteous one stumbled and acknowledged the Lord; he fell down and admires what God does to him.

6A verdade dos justos está junto de Deus seu Salvador.

6The truth of the righteous is with God his Savior.

7O justo vela por sua casa em tudo, para afastar a injustiça.

7The righteous one watches over his house in all things, to keep away unrighteousness.

8Expia os erros com jejum, e humilha a sua alma; e o Senhor purifica a todo o homem santo.

8He atones for errors with fasting, and humbles his soul; and the Lord purifies every holy man.

9Os que temem ao Senhor serão ressuscitados para uma vida eterna, e a vida deles está na luz do Senhor.

9Those who fear the Lord shall be raised to eternal life, and their life is in the light of the Lord.
