Salmos de Salomão 2

1Quando desdenharam o pecador, com aríete deitou abaixo o muro fortificado.

1When he scorned the sinner, with a battering ram he cast down the fortified wall.

2Subiram em cima do teu altar, os povos estrangeiros pisaram com sandálias.

2They ascended upon your altar, foreigners trampled with sandals.

3Porque os filhos de Jerusalém contaminaram o Santuário do Senhor, profanaram malignamente o dom de Deus.

3Because the children of Jerusalem defiled the Sanctuary of the Lord, profaned wickedly the gift of God.

4Devido a estas coisas disse: 'lançastes a vós mesmos longe de mim; não tenho prazer em vocês.'

4Because of these things he said: 'You have cast yourselves far from me; I have no pleasure in you.'

5A beleza da glória dela foi desprezada; diante de Deus foi desonrada.

5The beauty of her glory was despised; before God she was dishonored.

6Os filhos e as filhas estão em maligno cativeiro, seus pescoços selados são notórios às nações.

6The sons and daughters are in wicked captivity, their sealed necks are notorious to the nations.

7Conforme seus pecados lhes fez, porque os abandonou nas mãos dos inimigos.

7According to their sins he did to them, because he abandoned them into the hands of enemies.

8Tu és o Justo Juiz, e não bajulas ninguém.

8You are the Righteous Judge, and you flatter no one.

9Louvai a Deus os que temem o Senhor em sabedoria, porque a misericórdia do Senhor está sobre os que o temem com juízo.

9Praise God you who fear the Lord in wisdom, for the mercy of the Lord is upon those who fear him with judgment.

10Bendito seja o Senhor para sempre diante de seus santos.

10Blessed be the Lord forever before his saints.
